I used reviews and some research to determine which law firm to use for our estate planning and I was not disappointed with my decision to go with the CMS Law Firm. Liz and her team were extremely quick to respond to numerous enquiries, and they even helped me with something not directly related to our estate which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend.
CMS LAW Is an excellent law firm. They handled my probate & then updated my estate plan. Christopher Small, Elizabeth Brown & their entire team provided exceptional advise & support every step of the way. Their prices were fair. I highly recommend this wonderful wonderful law firm.

We hired CMS Law Firm LLC in December 2025 to help with our family estate planning. We were told the process would take approximately 4–5 weeks. We agreed and paid them for their services in advance. By the second month, we were told an unfortunate and unique issue delayed the process. CMS blamed the delay on the IRS’ poor customer service. After waiting eight months on CMS to resolve the delay, we contacted the IRS ourselves in July of 2026 and resolved the issue on the phone the same day.
Nearly nine months after hiring CMS, we still have not heard back from CMS on our outstanding issue. With our experience with poor follow-through, inaccurate explanations, and overall client service failures, we cannot recommend CMS Law Firm LLC.

We do our best to provide excellent service and when we don't meet those expectations we do our best to learn and get better. The IRS is extremely hard to deal with and I'm glad you were able to resolve the issue. We were diligent in our effort and I'm guessing it was our prior communication and providing supplemental information that helped resolved the issue. The estate attorney Ashely McAlhaney is very nice and very professional lady although I just spoke to her on the phone only . She explained very clearly for what is the best for me and my family very warm and care voice on the phone . And the staffs in the Kirkland office are also extremely helpful . We just finished our trust with CMS and couldn't be happier. Our attorney, Ashley McAlhaney advised and guided us through the process. She was extremely patient fielding our questions, and we feel that she addressed all of our concerns in a timely manner. The process took some time because we wanted to be as thorough as possible, and Ashley reassured us that their policy is not have the signing until all edits are done.
It's such a relief to now have a family trust that our heirs can rely on.
I asked Chris, the owner why the CMS rating was so high when we were initially looking at them, and now we know why. CMS deserves a 5 plus. Thanks again, Ashley you’re the best!

We needed to update our Trust / Will and wanted to find someone we felt comfortable with. I looked at online reviews and found a few firms. I called the three firms with the best reviews. I had to leave messages with all three of them. Only CMS got back to me. Their price was very reasonable, so we used their services. They were very easy to work with and answered all our questions. After we went to their office to sign the documents, they also let us know that as part of the cost, they are always available to answer questions in the future without any additional charges. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them. The attorney we worked with at CMS was Chris Small.
