The LA Arboretum is my favorite place to go walking. The gardens are spectacular, showcasing numerous botanical eye-candy. There is various wildlife to enjoy, including peacocks and turtles. You have access to well-maintained restrooms and a café, as well as a gift shop. The annual membership is worth it if you live in SoCal and want to have a peaceful place to walk, enjoy nature, and nourish the soul.
This place is truly stunning and perfect for a long, refreshing walk or workout surrounded by nature. The grounds are spacious and filled with beautiful trees, plants, and wildlife, including peacocks and geese roaming freely. A large waterfall steals the show, with a second, smaller one waiting at the top of the stairs. Along the paths, you’ll spot fish and turtles in the water, plus a wide fountain where the geese like to gather. I usually spend a couple of hours here. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and bug spray, and plan ahead for parking during event days.
