My experience working with Ciprani Consulting for my new EA hire was nothing short of fantastic! I had a disappointing experience during a Zoom interview with this company’s recruiter. The questions asked did not align with the job description and were often confusing rather than relevant. The recruiter spoke very fast and appeared impatient and dismissive throughout the interview. When I tried to clarify questions or provide thoughtful answers, the responses felt rushed and unprofessional. Overall, the interaction made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued as a candidate. The process felt disorganized, to the point that I questioned its legitimacy. I would advise other candidates to approach this interview process with caution.

First, I want to commend your firm for the initial stages of our interaction. Scheduling our first two meetings was seamless, and our conversations were both engaging and purposeful. I left those discussions with the impression that your team was organized, considerate, and genuinely invested in both your client’s needs and the candidate experience.
However, my experience following our second interview has been disappointing and raises larger concerns. After our last conversation, communication from your side dropped off significantly. My initial follow-up email went unanswered, and only after a second prompt did I receive a brief response stating that the team had chosen to move forward with other candidates.
This lack of timely and transparent feedback not only undermines the positive impression created during the early stages but also contradicts the values your firm claims to uphold. Specifically, I was told, “We commit to providing you feedback by COB Tuesday of next week.” It has now been over two weeks since that promised deadline, and the only communication I received was reactive rather than proactive.
With over 24 years of experience in human capital management, I have seen firsthand how inconsistent communication from recruiters, consultants, and HR professionals damages not just candidate relationships but also the reputation of the firm and its clients. It is no mystery why candidates sometimes resort to “ghosting” recruiters or declining offers at the last minute; often, they are simply mirroring the lack of respect and follow-through they have experienced themselves.
Promises matter. Ciprani’s own commitment, as stated on your website, includes:
To deliver a 10+ WOW experience.
To be communicative throughout the entire process.
To be honest throughout the entire process.
Yet my experience fell short of these standards.
If a firm cannot reliably deliver on the most basic professional commitments—such as timely follow-up and transparent communication—how can clients or candidates trust them with more complex responsibilities? I genuinely wonder if your client, the real estate firm in Middletown, DE, is aware of how their brand is being represented in this important search for a Director of Operations.
I share this feedback not out of frustration, but out of a genuine desire to see the recruiting experience improve for all parties. Consistent, transparent, and respectful communication is not just a ‘nice-to-have’—it is a cornerstone of your brand and your clients’ reputations. I hope you will take this message as constructive input and reconsider the way follow-up is handled moving forward.
