AMAZING PLACE We visited this amazing Restaurant last night. What a fabulous scenic location with beautiful views. Lovely sunset drinks first. The restaurant was great, the staff were second to none, could not do enough to make our visit so pleasurable. Head of house, João - professional and good fun, Hugo on wines, and Ana looked after us. A large menu, with lots to choose from. When the food came it was first class and delicious! A great location for families too, and for functions. We will most definitely return! It’s a must go to place!

Amazing! Lovely restaurant, food and cocktails were amazing and a great service from everyone. They were so good with our little one and he had a great time using the play area.

Incredible food and incredible staff We came here last week and unfortunately it was raining quite a lot but we had booked this restaurant for a friends birthday. Due to the rain we were the only people there that evening but had the most incredible experience. The staff were so lovely, friendly and kind. We were provided with lovely cocktails and a great recommendation for the house rose, which we thought tasted amazing. The food was incredible, presented neatly and we finished every last bit. Everything was perfect and we would definitely go here again when the weather is sunny as there’s outside seating and a lovely bar area. Shoutout to all the staff, you were incredible and gave us a lovely experience.

Hidden Gem Had a fabulous evening at this hidden gem. Food, staff and atmosphere were amazing. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

A Wonderful Return to The Lighthouse Restaurant After a few years away we finally returned to The Lighthouse Restaurant and it was well worth the wait! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a stunning setting that reminded us why we loved this place in the first place. The ambiance remains as inviting as ever, with its charming decor and breathtaking views. The menu has evolved, offering a wonderful selection of fresh, flavourful dishes. We started with the garlic prawns which were beautifully presented and bursting with taste. For the main course, the rack of lamb was perfectly cooked, showcasing the quality of ingredients and skill in the kitchen. Service was attentive yet relaxed, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations especially as we tried to pick wines that complimented our dishes which added to the overall experience. It was a delight to revisit The Lighthouse Restaurant, and it certainly won’t be as long before our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, a lovely atmosphere, and impeccable service.

Perfect wedding venue We had our wedding at this perfect venue on 28.09.24. We couldn’t have done it without the help of the amazing wedding co ordinator- Kirsten. So knowledgable of local vendors, supportive of every idea, our go to throughout the whole process. We had the bbq buffet our wedding guests are still saying now ‘the best wedding food’ they’ve ever had. The bar /restaurant staff are second to none, amazing service with a smile. Thank you Lighthouse grill & bar.

A real treat Fabulous loved it all ...the setting the food and the service all superb and we arrived just as the sun was setting so the views from the terrace were amazing

A disaster Overrated restaurant, an a priori original menu with the corresponding Awards, but of poor quality compared to the other restaurants in the area, a bad, red and white house wine, and that must be done, a room that reason, perfect for the old English, the others choose a more suitable place

Exceptional food, Great location. Great sunsets We have visited this restaurant in past visits and this visit was as good as before. The setting is wonderful with incredible views at sunset. The food is great and the service really good with very pleasant staff. We really enjoyed this restaurant and there was an added bonus of live music. We will definitely be going back!

A must! I had my last meal of my solo break here this evening, I was so lucky to get a reservation so make sure you book in advance. What a stunning place, it has a pool with music on during the day that you can go to (at a cost but if I was with my family would have been amazing) the restaurant was beautifully laid up, with a terrace and stunning views particularly with the sun setting. I was very well looked after by Kristen and team, was really nice to be made to feel welcome when you are on your own. Had a lovely chat with Kristen. Thank you for looking after me ❤️ The food was gorgeous, I had prawn and avacado to start, really fresh and tasty, crispy chicken and noodles for main, again was so very nice and a homemade peanut butter cheesecake for pudding. Washed down with a couple of rum punches,. I really do recommend & hopefully be back again in the future with the family in tow. Thanks again. Stacey 😊❤️

Highly recommend ~ best view & atmosphere We were here on 6th sept for a family wedding & it was just amazing from the beautiful rooftop lay out with the best views & sunset , to the friendly staff & great service. The place is just gorgeous & a total must if you are in carvoeiro . Food was lovely & we came back on Sunday the 8th sept for day 2 wedding pool party & BBQ everything was so organised & ran smoothly by Kristin she was so friendly & asked several times if all was ok . As did most of the staff & were always on hand for top ups or taking away glasses & plates . We had the best time here & would highly recommend the lighthouse Grill & bar to everyone . Thanks guys for a lovely experience we will definitely come back again next time we are in Portugal. Ciara x

21st birthday meal We went this evening for my daughter's 21st birthday - the meal was lovely and a beautiful setting. When we booked it was noted that it was her 21st birthday but no effort was made to even wish her a happy birthday - granted we didn't buy a cake, unlike the other party whose daughter was also 21, as we are going home tomorrow - I feel most places would have sung a happy birthday or offered her a drink.

Preços, espaço e comida ! Excelente para uma ida em familia. Boa piscina, espaço com jogos para crianças, excelentes snacks (Hambúrgueres Angus deliciososo) preços justos ! Atendimento cheio de simpatia e boa disposição !

I was schemed on this bar Yesterday i was schemed on this bar, I went to the lighthouse bar around 4:00 and when you go to pay the entrance fee, the attendance people tell you straight away that they don't speak english, i'm portuguese in Portugal but i speak fluently english, no problem, so we kept the conversation in English, and they explain to me that is 15 euros per person and that 5 euros are not refundable because they are for the chair, but that you can deduct the 10 euros from your consumption during the day, so me and my partner paid 30 euros and we had a couple of beers a couple of ice creams and when we asked if we could eat something, they told us that the kitchen was already closed, by the time we went to pay our bill was 41,30 euros, so we asked about it because we haven't consumed the 20 euros that were deductible, and they stated that that would only be deductible if I had lunch before but I arrived at 4:00 a couple of friends of mine where the little children I don't want it to make a scene about this so I left without complaint but I was schemed, i feel robbed and it's not the dam 11 euros.

Family birthday celebration This is a very special place for lots of reasons. The obvious ones like the stunning location and views and then the ones you experience when you visit. The service is second to none and the food is excellent. We visited to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we were a large group of 27 people ranging in age from 6 years to 79 years old !The owner and staff were so professional and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and they looked after us all perfectly , ensuring that we all have the most precious memories to take away with us. I can’t recommend The Lighthouse Bar & Grill highly enough. Thank you from us all.

Loved this place , very impressive Excellent service , great location , modern restaurant with an amazing view. Paella and cocktails were excellent. Staff were so helpful .

Lovely location and decent food, but spoilt by children running the tables around playing ball games Lovely elevated location with good views. Tables outside nicely spaced 2 out of the 4 of us felt the food was very good and 2 of us thought it just ok with the steak being a bit chewy. Reasonable value at 175 Euros for the 4 of us having a 2 course meal with wine. The evening was spoiled, however, by numerous (10+) children running around and between the tables playing ball games. Also shouting loudly. There is a grass play area at the side of the dining area and we asked the restaurant owner if he could ask the children to play on the designated area. He said it was up to the parents to control their children. Overall not a restaurant we would return to.
