From booking request to photo album collection, Chocolate Chip Photography were amazing to work with for our wedding. We knew we wanted something more unique and special for our wedding photos. When we found Chris and Shazia on Instagram we were immediately sold on their candid style and were especially inspired by their urban shots. Their pre-wedding communication was great, and we had a meeting with Chris a few weeks out from the big day to go over finer details - this helped to put our pre-wedding nerves at bay! On the day Chris and Shazia did an incredible job and really went above and beyond what we expected. As well as capturing stunning photos they kept us right on all the little details: cutting threads from Chris' (groom) suit; prepping my bouquet; fanning me and opening doors when our reception room got too hot, the list goes on. Group shots were easy-breezy and done in a flash, giving us time to enjoy our reception and chat with guests. For couples shots we managed to sneak two sessions in, one down in Jesmond Dene, and another outside the venue at golden hour. We struggle to pick our favourite photos from these sessions as we love them all. We love the choices of locations and backgrounds, and we are so happy with the contrast between nature-y and urban shots. Finally for candid guest shots we were so impressed - we couldn't tell at the time anyone was taking a photo! We've enjoyed having a chuckle at some of the lovely moments they captured for us that we'd have otherwise missed. After the wedding we were so surprised when we got a message to say our photos were ready only a few weeks later. They are all amazing quality, and our videos too which capture all the best bits. We're so happy we can re-watch and re-live highlights of our day. So it was a no brainer to us to go with Chris and Shazia again for building a photo album. We knew we wanted something special as a keep sake, and as a way to have a physical copy of our favourite pics. We had a super in-depth consultation with Chris, who took us through all our options and helped us customise the perfect book for us. Drafts were sent to us very quickly and we loved the creative layout and flow of the album. The final album is well worth it, we keep it pride of place on our coffee table (on a shelf under a glass top so protected from coffee spills!); we're so glad to have this physical memento of the best day. 1000000000% recommend Chocolate Chip, I don't see how you could find more dedicated, thoughtful or skilled photographers anywhere else.

We recently had a family photoshoot with Chocolate Chip Photography and it was honestly such a lovely experience that I needed to let the whole world know. We’ve worked with Chris and Shazia before for our wedding and both our newborn sessions, so we know how great they are at what they do. This however was our first family photoshoot with older children so as a parent I really wasn’t sure how it would go. After all, young children can be unpredictable. I don’t know why I worried as Chris was amazing. He had the kids relaxed and smiling so quickly, and they were still talking about how much they loved the photoshoot afterwards. For people like myself and my husband who usually don’t like having our photographs taken, it’s always been such a relaxed experience because nothing ever feels awkward or cheesy. We’ve ended up with the most beautiful, natural family photos that we’ll treasure forever. Oh, and the grandparents love them too so extra points for Choc Chip! There’s not enough words to express just how grateful we are for everything and how much we love all of our photographs. Not just this recent family shoot, but the wedding and newborns photos too. If you’re thinking about booking or working with Chris and Shazia in any way, I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic, welcoming and easy experience! Chris and Shazia are amazing, and really pull out all the stops to make it an enjoyable experience all round, particularly for people not comfortable in front of the camera in a professional environment! Kids really enjoyed it too, resulting in a hassle free day as evident in the finished family portraits we were desperate to capture at their current age. Including our dog in the portrait was a huge bonus for us, and this was in no way an issue for Chris & Shazia to incorporate - again, hassle free! Would highly recommend Chocolate Chip Photography to anyone exploring the services they offer - you will not be disappointed from the experience, nor the brilliant end product. Cannot thank Chris enough for our newborn photos. He really is the baby whisperer, our daughter slept through the whole photo shoot and photo viewing. The photo shoot it self was relaxing and enjoyable, Chris talked us through everything that will happen and if there was anything specific that we wanted captured. Even gave us some tips showing us how he swaddles and the brilliant white noise used. The photo viewing appointment was magical seeing how Chris captured how we see our daughter each day, the cuteness, beauty and love. Cannot recommend Chris enough and will definitely be using Chocolate Chip in the future Oh and not to forget the fancy coffee we were able to enjoy whilst he worked his magic.

Chris and Shaz were nothing short of amazing on our big day- and that goes beyond the photography. From helping fix ties and bustle dresses, organising guests and giving suggestions on ceremony layouts (from their extensive experience) - and then their photog skills on top were unmatched. They braved the rain, the dark- everything! And had a plan no matter what. Our guests loved their energy and we can't wait to share the pics with them- they have truly taken our breath away. So if you're looking for photographers (especially if you live away from the location and don't know where to start with trusted vendors) - we honestly couldn't reccommend them enough and reassure you that you're in great hands. Chris and Shazia are the most incredible duo! Right from the first email, we loved their authentic and passionate approach and wanted to book them for our wedding; during the planning process, they helped us create some amazing photo ideas and filled us with total confidence the whole way through. On the big day, they showed this amazing knack of making everyone feel totally relaxed, from the oldies right down to the toddlers - the feedback from our guests was impeccable and they blended in perfectly with our friends and family. I can’t recommend chocolate chip enough! We chose them because we loved the feel of their photos for an autumn / winter wedding and knew from their gallery that they would capture some lovely real moments with our guests, but that was just the start of it! As soon as we met Chris he made us feel so at ease, reassuring us about what was really important in a wedding and running us through how the day would work. On the day itself he kept us all on time, made sure we got all the shots we wanted, but also kept us laughing and got through the more posed photos quickly so that we could get down to having fun with our guests. Everyone at the wedding fedback to us what a good choice he was in making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. The photos we received very quickly after the wedding were absolutely incredible and really captured our day as it genuinely was. Can’t thank Chris and Shazia enough for making sure we have the most beautiful memories!

We couldn’t be happier with our newborn experience at Chocolate Chip. Seeing our photos come to life made us both so emotional! Chris is genuinely the “bearded baby whisperer” and also has the patience of a saint with pets, particularly our menace of a Border Terrier! Watson Wedding We chose Chocolate Chip Photography for our wedding day after seeing them on Instagram - we chose the package a 'Quickie in the City' From the start Chris and Shazia were amazing. We had a video call with Chris prior to the wedding who explained everything so we knew what to expect. On the day Shazia made us both feel relaxed and instantly made us both feel at ease. Shazia took us around parts of Ouseburn and the Quayside in Newcastle and captured some amazing pictures. We were both so happy with the pictures! We first came across Chocolate Chip Photography when viewing photos of our wedding venue (Healey Barn, for whom they are a recommended supplier). Their laid back candid style of photography paired with the fact that they are a duo and therefore better placed to capture all aspects of the day were big pluses for us, and coincidently when looking through their portfolios I recognised not one but two different brides were old uni friends of mine who couldn’t recommend them enough. From initial contact right through to receiving our photos, Chris & Shazia have been a total dream to deal with - straightforward, professional and most importantly just great people all round. It was genuinely a pleasure to have them with us on our wedding day. Shazia was the wing-woman I didn’t know I needed, in-between snapping photos she was cutting tags off dresses, helping with zips, holding bouquets, distracting small children, sewing the sleeves of my dress to stop them falling down (yes!) and cooling me down with some insane vapour wipes on my neck and arms in-between our group shots in a particularly hot corner of the courtyard (which I was very grateful for). Chris was particularly brilliant at commanding our guests for the group shots so that everyone knew what they were doing and when, which was much appreciated by all and got the job done as quickly as possible so that we were able to join our guests as soon as possible. Similarly they know our venue so well that they knew exactly where the best spots were to take some couple portraits and when the best time was to take some insane golden hour shots. We were so surprised with how quickly the photos came through and my goodness they are INCREDIBLE. All my DIY bits that I didn’t get the time to fully appreciate on the day, our gorgeous girls playing with their friends and rolling down the hills in the sunshine, guests mingling and catching up over some canapés and fizz, Gran welling up to my personal vows, my cousin excitedly knocking his chair over as he stands up to us being announced in as Mr & Mrs Williams… they have captured it all. They are better than we could have ever imagined and everyone who has seen them has commented how well they truly capture the day from start to finish (or after the first dance!). I could go on and on but you get the gist - if you are getting married and want to spend the day with two extra people who are so down to earth and lovely with the added benefit that they can document your big day in real and natural way that you can view and treasure forever then look no further and get them booked! 😊

What can we say to do a review justice on Chris and Shazia! From meeting them at a wedding fair at the Boiler Shop, to our pre wedding shoot and then our big day, they have been amazing. We knew instantly from chatting with them at the wedding fair that we wanted them as our photographers. They put us at ease during our pre shoot and we felt so relaxed, which helped us for our big day. Getting the photos back from our pre shoot made us even more excited for the wedding day, as it showed how skilled they both are and there was no doubt in our minds that they would capture our day perfectly. We genuinely had so much fun with them on the day and the pre shoot. On the day they were both so helpful and organised and our guests loved them too. Chris was so helpful throughout and always just a message away. Shazia’s Instagram posts after the wedding were great updates to see whilst waiting for our gallery. We got our gallery back within 2 weeks which was amazing and we laughed and cried looking back on our day. We added on the video bolt on package which we would definitely recommend, to watch back the key parts of the day. If you are looking for relaxed, fun and something a bit different for your day then Chocolate Chip are the photographers for you. 5 starts isn’t enough for these guys, they deserve so much more and we are looking forward to future moments for them to capture.
