In January I could hardly walk without pain. Various doctors (never the same one) prescribed painkillers. Tired of no progress I contacted Lushington and Dr James immediately diagnosed the problem and I have had regular treatments since. Things have improved so much. The staff are all friendly and considerate and the receptionists very welcoming.

I went back to Lushington Chiropractic, having first used their clinic a few years ago for a different issue, to undergo a fairly intensive course of chiropractic and sports massage for arthritis related back, hip and lower limb pain and soreness. I find them friendly, knowledgeable, informative and effective. The treatment and information about my condition is helping enormously in gaining back some respite and support as well as a realistic perspective on what may be achieved and the way forward, for which I am grateful and would not hesitate to recommend, don't leave it too long!

I've been coming to Lushington since I was 11, they got me through a lot of pain as a kid and saved my spine growing up. Now I've seen the lovely Emma, as well as Lizzie and Louise on occasion! They all do things slightly differently, but are great at getting at what you want from the treatment. Such a lovely reception team too!

I was recommended to the Practice and specifically Emma, by a family friend. On meeting her, Emma was friendly, sympathetic and very professional. I was impressed right from the start. She explained in detail what my visit would entail. She asked about my past medical history, my medications and about my specific reasons for the visit. She listened carefully. She examined me, explaining everything she was doing. She documented everything accurately. She then told me what she thought my problem was. I returned the following week for a talk about treatment. The whole experience was very helpful. I would recommend Lushington Chiropractic highly.

My job is a Prison Custody Officer and I had to take on an incredibly violent prisoner who tried to kill me. I managed to fight my way back to my feet and took one hell of a beating before eventually getting him into his cell. I had to go to hospital. As soon as my face was presentable I went back to work. Bit by bit I began to realise that things were not right with my body. Many everyday tasks became more and more difficult. I was in constant pain. My wife said I couldn’t go on like this and that I needed to go and see a chiropractor. She booked me an appointment with Lushington and I began my journey with Dr. Elizabeth Wright. She explained that the ligature he used around my neck created a lot of trauma and that it traveled down my spine and manifested in my lumbar region. The job was to convince the body that it’s okay to let go of all that trauma and so over a period of three months I experienced many pops and clicks as well as many an elbow to the butt. Gradually I noticed more movement in my neck and I was able to perform more and more tasks. Thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Wright I can turn my neck (rather than my whole body) when talking to someone. Getting up from a chair or out of bed is no longer the arduous task it used to be and I can walk my mountain dogs and pick up their poo. I’m very grateful to Lizzie for giving me back a much better quality of life.

Friendly, expert and attentive care I had the pleasure of a free promotional massage from Ewan Taylor during Eastbourne Airshow. Ewan was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and after listening carefully to my area of concern he provided a really thorough and effective shoulder massage - releasing tightness and tension. Would definitely recommend!

I am grateful for a friendly approach at Lushington and getting my neck and back pain sorted commencing with examination, relevant treatment and then massage to work on the joints and muscles which needed that. The exercises I was given are designed to help maintain the improvement in said joints and muscles and I know that if they revert to their bad old ways I can go back to Lushington for treatment.
