How lovely to read your review. Very kind of you.

So pleased I was able to help with the diagnosis of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

We're lucky in chiropractic practice to have the time, training and skills to help people in the way we do. Although it's unusual to see people with BPPV I'm super grateful that when I did my Chiropractic Masters back in 2002. I’m not sure if they still cover it as some of the newer graduates don’t learn the treatment protocol. We studied BPPV, it's differentials (i.e. what else can cause dizziness or vertigo) and learned the tests (and historical clues) to help with it's diagnosis.

The treatment I was taught to help with BPPV is the Epley Manoeuvre.
The Epley Manoeuvre is a series of head movements that help guide dislodged calcium crystals out of the inner ear's semicircular canals. Slow and steady. No sudden movement and no chiropractic adjustments either (to be clear chiropractic adjustments do not treat BPPV).

In your situation reassurance about what was actually wrong, and explanation about what to expect was most important.

NOTE: I’d also like to clarify that I am a registered Chiropractor (not Medical Doctor), as such get to use the title Doctor of Chiropractic, not to be confused with a Medical Doctor or any other “Dr” profession.
