This was genuinely the best dining experience I’ve ever had. It’s like going to your friend’s dinner party who also happens to be a world class chef. Elevated cuisine served unpretentiously by people who obviously love what they do. Huge shoutout to Tina (the chef’s wife who runs the show) and Bennett who delivered the most enthusiastic hospitable service my wife and I have ever received. This place has set the bar insurmountably high. I’m astounded. We will be back as soon as our wallets allow. Bravo!

Eulalie is one of those places I want to keep a secret, but can’t. It’s a special experience. The menu is hand written in exquisite cursive by Tina, and features a note to take a break from your phone while dining. It’s where I get to wear the dresses sleeping in my closet, the ones I can’t wear anywhere else… because dressing up is encouraged, recognized, appreciated, and healthily complimented. The food is as exquisite as the setting and the service. Meticulously crafted, seasonal, Chip always has a special or two up his sleeve. Last night it was a pork trotter with pepper vinegar, a souffle served with beets, and a tilefish. But the duck three ways will always be a star in my eyes. We sealed the meal with the cheese plate full of local selections… who knew Queens made a washed rind like that? And for the price point ($125 for 4 courses) there is no better deal out there. We come here for special occasions, because there is no place as special as Eulalie. (No photos of course, because I was actually present for my meal.)

Chip, Tina and co put on an incredible show. From the booking process to the service to the food, every part of it feels like a thoughtful and personal experience. The food is incredible and carefully thought out, the wines well paired, and the ambiance feels like you're having dinner at an old friends. We'll be back without a doubt.

They serve only one round per table, and every dish is prepared with heart and soul. The wine pairings are pure magic. If you know of any other places like Eulalie, please let me know.

SUMMARY: An evening at Eulalie is pure delight. The experience is akin to dining as a long-awaited guest at a stately but comfortable home with a five-star menu. At the end of the evening, you’ll depart feeling that you’ve made new friends in co-owners Chip Smith and Tina Vaughn and been initiated into an intimate club. *** DETAILS: Reservations at Eulalie are made by telephone. You’ll speak to Tina to book your reservation. Reservations are typically booked a month in advance, but we were fortunate to be able to book on short notice due to a cancellation. Pro tip: Tina notes that tables may be easier to come by later in the evening — our reservation was for 8:45. Ambience at Eulalie is classic, comfortable and soothing. Lighting is low and tables are well-spaced. Eulalie’s staff is warm and welcoming, offering solicitous and attentive service throughout the evening. In keeping with the setting, the menu is charmingly handwritten — cursive with a flourish. Pacing is thoughtful and unhurried, allowing guests to savor each element of the repast. Eulalie’s cuisine is elevated American, combining touches of chef Chip Smith’s Southeastern upbringing (coconut cake) and regional ingredients (game, seafood) with classic technique. Meals are prix fixe with four courses (terrine, choice of appetizer, chef’s mid-course amuse bouche and choice of entree). Diners may add a dessert and/or a cheese course for an additional charge. Our meal ranged from very good (terrine, appetizers) to superb (chef’s amuse, a remarkable fish soup; an excellent lamb entree; and an even more outstanding duck). The wine list is excellent — trust the staff’s recommendations. Having attended a birthday party earlier in the day, we skipped dessert, but look forward to coconut cake on our next visit.

If there was an option for more than 5 stars review- I would definitely give it to this cozy chic restaurant and the amazing team that are impeccable in what they are doing. I found out of this place last night and decided to go for dinner. The food was the perfect amount and soooo delicious!!! The wine pairing they recommended, emphasized the amazing flavor. The presentation of the food and the knowledge of the gentleman that was waiting on my table was superb. I cannot recommend this GEM enough. And the cherrie on top of the cake, is that this place is not spoiled by social media show offs. This place is a Bentley, that doesn’t need an advertising campaign. Will be back very soon! Merci

Eulalie is a superb foodie destination, a hidden gem in my beloved neighborhood and more than worthy of the space that once housed the legendary Montrachet. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there and it was perfect in every way. The $125 prix fixe includes 4 courses: amuse-bouche, appetizer (full size), soup (tasting size) and main (full size). Dessert can be ordered for an additional cost and that's nice as you can share. Tina's wine pairing was all exquisite and spot on, and they were generous with the pour and flexible with how much wine you'd like (half or full pour, one dish or more dish). For food, we had goat cheese soufflé and crab 3-way as appetizers (out of 5 options) and we had venison and guinea hen as main (out of 4 options). We had a coconut cake and lemon tart for dessert. Every dish was exquisite and so much attention to detail, all super delicious, top quality and generous quantity for the price. Tina and her staff are all amazing hosts, and Chef Chip was very friendly and greeted all the tables. Highly recommend for any foodie and any occasion!

Sincere. They really mean it when they welcome you. When they cook for you and serve you. And say goodbye. The food is true to itself and to you. The conversations with the staff are thoughtful. The flavors pleasantly linger. As we were leaving - they stopped us at the door - said something special was coming from the kitchen- we couldn’t imagine what - it was a dessert we had shown interest in - but hadn’t chosen - and the chef wanted to show his appreciation and wanted us to try it. It was really good. We made it last for 3 days. You can’t find food as good - and treatment so kind and thoughtful- elsewhere in New York.

Eulalie was amazing! We had the best time even though we were soaking wet from a sudden rain downpour. The team was so welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The food was top notch and the hospitality was very special. We’ll be back when in NYC 🥂

Eulalie is pure magic. From the moment Tina welcomes you, you’re transported far from the outside world into an evening of true hospitality. Every detail is intentional—from the handwritten menus to the impeccable wine pairings that elevate each course. Chef Chip’s dishes, from the delicate rabbit ravioli to the perfectly cooked steak, are simply sensational. This isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience of elegance, warmth, and flawless execution.

Excellent meal, phones are discouraged which is refreshing. The dining room is paced nicely so everyone is at a different pace despite the full house. They were able to make accommodations and were very thoughtful for my pregnant wife. Expect to spend around 2-3 hours here as the service is not rushed.

Always such a wonderful experience dining at Eulalie, Tina is the warmest host ever. We honestly can’t find food and vibes like this in NYC anymore. This is a place you want to return to again and again if you are into old school French cuisine, and impeccable service. Food was fantastic and we had a great time.
