It’s really poor form to have the bookings open and to have the restaurant hours still say open- to have no closed post on your socials and for customers to drive across town to the business.
Old review: Vegetarian options were incredible. Will be back with friends.

Disappointing "Bottomless" Experience: Great Staff, Terrible Execution
To be completely honest, I’ve never been so disappointed with a service. The staff were genuinely friendly, but unfortunately, everything else about this experience fell short, especially given the cost.
The Value Problem: Not Bottomless
The biggest issue was the delivery of the "bottomless" service, which simply wasn't bottomless. The staff, despite their friendliness, seemed disorganized and out of their depth, leading to incredibly slow drink delivery. When you pay for a 90-minute package, you expect to get a decent amount of drinks we were nowhere near what competitors offer. It felt like we were constantly having to flag someone down, and the entire pace of the service didn't reflect a bottomless model at all. I’m afraid it shouldn't even be classed as bottomless, as it felt like very poor value for the money.
Food and Vibe
The food was just okay, but quite bland and felt soulless. It definitely needed more flavor.
The atmosphere was also a letdown. The music was truly soul-draining and morbid it honestly felt like we were at a wake instead of a lively Saturday brunch. It actively killed the vibe.
Final Thoughts
We were so disappointed, particularly as we arrived and were the only ones in the venue on a Saturday. While the staff were lovely, the overall organization, the slow pace of drinks, and the poor music choice made this one of the worst service experiences I've had. This is meant to be constructive criticism; the concept needs a complete operational overhaul to be worth the price.

I’ve known Kingz and the crew at Chicano for a while now, and they’ve never disappointed.
We’ve had them do private catering at our house for a big birthday celebration, and recently they hosted my daughter’s 18th birthday. It was a blast! I highly recommend the venue and these guys. The cherry on top is the amazing food, drinks, company, and smiles.
Best mexican food in town hands down! Grab a seat at the bar and enjoy watching the food being made infront of you (tortillas pressed in house to order!). The level of care and love put into each dish and the general aesthetic is really felt when you dine here, and very good value! Definitley coming back for the bottomless brunch (bottomless tacos & margaritas)!

I was really disappointed with my visit to Chicano Taquería. The food was extremely unpleasant and overpriced for the quality. The place itself was uncomfortable — it was very hot inside and the air conditioning didn’t seem to work properly.
What bothered me the most was seeing how the owner treated the staff. The employees were doing their jobs well and being kind to customers, but the owner was rude and disrespectful toward them. It created a very negative atmosphere.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
The chicken tacos were my favorite! Pork was yum too.
The staff were so friendly, I was solo the night I went so I got to sit at the bar and watch in the kitchen. Very cool, and made me feel very welcome despite feeling a bit awkward being by myself on a weekend away.
Wonderful experience all round!

Really enjoyed our meal here! We are by no means experts, but we have pretty high standards for Mexican food since we are so spoilt for choice in Melbourne. Everything was so fresh and we could see the tortillas being pressed, cut and fried for our chips and the empanadas were made my hand to order. I am however a total snob about margaritas and this was.. THE BEST marg I've had at a restaurant in a long long time. Quesadillas and fresh tortilla chips was definitely two standouts.
