Smile Loft Dentistry was a place I once confided in as a dental practice. Leah, the dental assistant is extremely kind and friendly and really is the heart of this operation. Dr. Chan is also kind and you can tell has a good nature about her but struggles to focus at times and as friendly natured as she can be just has this untrustworthiness about her that does not feel genuine. This lack of focus got serious when I had to confide in a private matter involving mental health issues that were starting to affect my oral health care. I told her because I trusted her as my healthcare professional to listen carefully, focus, and use that complex medical information for my treatment plan without any judgment. But instead of getting the professional support I needed, her distracted response felt unhelpful—and frankly, a little judgmental—about my personal health disclosures. You should always feel safe and supported when you confide in your doctor, not worry about being judged. The ability to deliver precise, focused medical attention and maintain a trustworthy relationship is the most important quality in a dentist, and unfortunately, that's what was missing here when I needed it most.

The dentist in this establishment is very nice. She was honest and explained to me my overall teeth’s health status. She explained to me why I have some cracked and crooked teeth. She provided some options and alternatives to help and improve my teeth’s health without forcing me with their own agendas and commercial biases. The facility was clean, and the staff were friendly and very efficient. On my second visit, the dentist did not nag me regarding Invisalign which we talked about the last visit. And I very appreciate it otherwise it will incentivize me to not come back the next time. You should visit and try out their services.

Personally, the chatter between the dentist and assistant was a little unnerving to me, since I felt as though the concentration on the cleaning/exam process was unfocused and distracted. My original appt. was for last month, but the offc. called me to set another appt. since the dentist was out of the offc. I had a chipped crown that needed attention, but I thought I'd wait until the regular appt. to address it since it wasn't painful. Turns out, I had to wait even longer. Needed to know how much out of pocket cost for any procedure, and when I could arrange an appt. Felt pressured to jump right into the procedure right after the regular exam this morning, and I was unprepared for that, since the cost was high and I had other errands to run today. I had to return home and consult my schedule for possible days. I called the offc.# at 2:45 pm and was surprised to reach the answering service, but I gave the operator four days that would work for me. Since it's now the holiday season, I am busier than usual. The cost was also a factor, and I didn't want to spend the holiday season with a temporary on a molar. Seemed like a depressing possibility. Not a fan of dentistry, as a rule, but I felt very unsettled about my experience today. Past appointments seem to have gone better.

Dr. Chan is so kind and Leah is such a sweetheart. Everyone here is amazing and I never had a bad experience.
