I would say the work is Average, the costs are on the high side, and the project isn’t managed well. If you have precise plans, that never stray from the beginning of the project, they can handle that. If you are unsure or want to change anything, good luck. Five stars for completing a project (not easy to do these days). Minus 1 star for being overpriced relative to the quality of work. Minus 1 star for creating a painful project management process. Minus 1 star for not being able to deal with any changes to a plan.

Top-notch contractor and GC in Suffolk and Nassau County. We had a truly fantastic experience with the entire team from start to finish. Caleb was incredibly accessible, and his entire staff was always responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with. The finished product was well beyond our expectations—the quality and attention to detail really stood out. Pricing was fair and reasonable, the process was smooth, and working with them was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend without hesitation.

We engaged with CIC to build a 1450 sqft extension with a full bathroom and a wet bar. Evan was our 1st point of contact and stayed highly engaged throughout the process. The technicians that came to perform the construction from start to finish were professional and friendly. If your looking for a company that will confidently build whatever you need - this is it. Ask for Evan , he is very helpful and knowledgeable

Center Island Contracting renovated my home from a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom to a 4 bedroom, 3 full bathroom. It was a massive undertaking but it was successfully completed. My house is unrecognizable from the original structure. My friends and family are always impressed by the outcome. My financing was done through a construction loan and the team was patient and provided whatever documents were required for me to secure the loan. Have a conversation with Center Island to explore your options. It’s worth a try. I love my house!

I would gladly hire them again for a future construction project, and I can think of no higher compliment. For this project, they updated a bathroom and helped us add a new primary suite. Pictured is the updated bathroom. The job was finished on time with the permit, the work looks great, pricing was fair, and they stayed communicative and patient every step of the way.

Recently finished up a large renovation project where we added a new addition to our house which included a new primary bedroom and bathroom. Definitely satisfied with our choice of Center Island Contracting. From the initial quote all the way to the finishing of the project, everything was laid out in detail and done accordingly. Through out the entire process everyone at Center Island answered any questions we had and explained everything they did. Any issues that came up during the renovation was explained thoroughly with multiple options presented to us. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future renovations.

We were told it would take about four weeks to gut renovate our existing bathroom, add a primary bath, and stain our floors. It took them five months. How did a four week job turn into a five month job?!? We had all of our selections picked out before the job started. We were ready to go. They kept making excuses (oh, no work the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas) okay, adding an extra two weeks to the timeline still doesn't explain how a "four week" job turned into a FIVE MONTH job!! (Hint: we'd watch on our doorbell camera, workers only showed up 1-2 days a week, so when you're only working on our house 1 day a week, of course it's going to take a lot longer). We moved out on 11/9/23 and moved back in the first week of March. Also, be careful with their "quote/proposal". A lot of our selections were left out of the proposal with the promise that we could add them in officially later on in the process, but surprise, adding our selections in later on = massive change orders. They were obviously keeping the proposal to the bare minimum to keep it as low as possible to get our business. The two stars I'm giving is because after five long months and doubling our budget, the final product was decently good, and we're happy with the final product.

We recently completed a nearly full remodel of our new home with Center Island Contracting, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Caleb, Evan, Bill, Myron, Raquel, Alicia, and every other team member were a pleasure to work with, and it was clear that our project was so much more than a job to them. In addition, the recommendations that they gave us for appliances, HVAC, closet customization, and painting exceeded our expectations for both pricing and job quality. We worked with several reputable companies while renovating our previous home, but I would unhesitatingly recommend CIC over all of them. It has been almost 3 months since we moved in, and we are still amazed at how precisely and impeccably CIC converted a vision in our minds into our dream home.

Project type: Addition First time doing something that big to the house, don't very know what I get myself into, but lucky we found CIC. Overall the whole process was smooth and they competed everything we wanted/asked for. There are some minor hiccup here there during the built but they handle it well and address any problem professionally. Have no communicate problem, always respond our calls and questions even during holiday. Huge thank to CIC.

After reaching out to different contractors to complete a dormer/first floor renovation to our home, we came across Center Island after seeing a project being done in a neighboring town. CIC did a beautiful job putting up our dormer. We were very happy with how quickly the dormer came about and how respectful the team was to our neighbors. They kept the neighboring properties on both sides of our home clean and undisturbed. CIC made it easy to design our home and make decisions, especially with having an architect and designer on staff. We have been very happy with quality of work they have completed so far. Anyone who comes into our home cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is. We are looking forward to the project being finished soon and having the home we always dreamed of! Thank you CIC

Evan listened to our ideas and made them even better with his vision and expertise. John handling the architecture and making the permit process on our end effortless. Bill, our project manager, patiently addressing all our questions and concerns, making sure everything got done as it should. Caleb coming through in the clutch with the line voltage thermostat and flag pole lighting. Louis, Louis, Myron (and his son), Chris, and the entire crew who put in all the hard work doing the build. Their skill is top-tier and the nicest people you will ever meet. We are so happy we went with CIC for our project and would absolutely recommend them.
