My daughter has been taking Karate at the Crossbay location for a month. It has been such a wonderful experience. The instructor’s are excellent. A wonderful balance of fun and seriousness. It is amazing how all the other important lessons are also incorporated into the class, respect for family, work hard in school and don’t give up. They even have Birthday parties at the location if you chose to do so. Not much more you could want for your child.

Such a great environment. My son and I love it. Everyone is friendly, organized and helpful. In a short amount of time my son felt that he found his tribe. He has become inspired to one day be a black belt and I look forward to seeing him accomplish his goal at GoForIt Martial Arts.

Where do I start . this place is a scam they lure you in by saying you have 4 free classes however it’s not true because they offer you a “special deal “ to sign up charging you half of initiation fee which is $300 plus first month another $350 so end up paying $600 total . You end up paying for those free classes . They have you sign a contract which is ridiculous . Apparently they don’t let you break the contract and end up charging every month even if you no longer want to continue the classes. I owner of the school I only met once the day I enrolled and then you never see him again. His side kick called Sensei never teaches the class because every class they have there is a group of new kids coming to try out the program so he is busy with the parents trying to hustle new members in . The class ends up being taught by some teenage kids . WORST OF ALL !! They don’t want to give the tax ID to get reimbursed from your work union . They kept giving me the run around about filling it out to the point I past the deadline to give it in and ended up losing my reimbursement ! I have never encountered such an u organized after school program . My son hated and learned nothing .

Go For IT martial arts is a black belt leadership academy which ensures there is progressive development of a child's discipline and habits over time. We have seen this effect on our kids just after a few sessions. Sensei, Joshu and Sempais are amazing instructors and very patient in their teaching.

My kids love Karate and Go for It has been really amazing.

This is not just a “karate” class, it’s a commitment for both the child as well as the parents. We enrolled my son because we felt he can benefit from the discipline and regimen. They have been strict with him with him when he needed it and patient with him when he needed extra coaching. I strongly recommend Go For It.

This establishment tried to steal from us during covid. We paid for the entire year and the owner tried to only give us $1000 back for the classes that were canceled. Each time I tried to prove to him that he was wrong he would cut me off and say that he didn't have time for this and would ask me to leave. Eventually I had to request for the police to be called at which time he finally recalculated what he owed us which was over $2200. He's a theif. He was not prepared for me to insist the way I did and he was shaking by the time he finally gave me the check amount he actually owed. I walked out telling him that I wished him exactly what he deserved for his deeds. I would not recommend this establishment at all. I can only imagine how many other parents he has ripped off.

This school is great! It has taught my son so much self control! And he is learning to be stronger everyday. This school is not just about learning moves it’s about creating our young people into being amazing citizens in society with skills that they could use in life!

I enrolled my 8 year old son in GoForIt Martial Arts in July 2023. It has been almost 4 months and I've seen a vast improvement in his behavior at home. He's more disciplined, listens and does that are things asked of him the first time. He has gained confidence, self-control and is better focused since starting the program. The instructors are the strict with their lessons and strive to make leaders out of our kids. I strongly believe in their teachings and would recommend for anyone to try out their program, which offers a 2 week free trial for anyone interested.

Gustavo Larrea runs a great program. My son is 8 and loves his classes. They focus on discipline and also make it fun for the kids, not just hard work all day. Sensei Courtney is a very funny but has his limits. I like that. Thank you for the assistance and support!

Amazing Martial Arts Studio. It’s big, clean beautiful and filled with wonderful equipment. My son absolutely LOVES it. The trainers, Sensei, Joshu and Sempai are amazing. I highly highly recommend. Thank you guys.

It’s been a year we enrolled our kids 4 yo and 6yo in Goforit Martial arts and it have been an amazing year. Sensei Larrea, Joshu Matt and GFI Sempais are amazing. They not only teach Karate they teach discipline, respect and confidence and best part is they teach by example. I strongly recommend this place if you want to see your little ones growing as strong individuals with discipline and self control. Much respect and appreciation for Sensei and Joshu, kids really look upto you both.

My daughter Sarah has been with Tae Kwondo for the past 2 years now and since then has moved up 7 belt levels. This would not have been possible without the expert instruction, training and related motivation that her Sensei and Joshu have provided for her. I definitely recommend Go For It Martial Arts in Hicksville to all my friends who may be instructed in self defense and confidence building that comes with achievement.

I don’t even know where to begin. I can’t say enough great things about Go for it. Your child is known as an individual with their strengths and abilities as well as what needs to be worked on, they will not get lost in the crowd. Instructors expect a lot from your children and will push them to be their best, but will also give a lot as well. If your child needs extra help to catch onto a difficult routine, everyone on staff is willing to help when/as needed. I have noticed an immense change in drive from my son in the year we have been at Go for it. He balances a lot of sports but karate is his priority for him. I firmly believe that is due to how he is treated once he walks in the doors. The facility is also extremely clean and comfortable. Plenty of seating for parents to stay and watch. If you want your child to excel in life and be the absolute best version of themselves, it will happen at Go for it.
