We had the absolute pleasure of working directly with Carl, the founder of Carl Axen Clothier, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning, Carl went above and beyond to make the process not only seamless but also truly enjoyable.
Carl personally came to our home to take measurements, and it was immediately clear how much care and attention to detail he puts into his craft. He took his time, double-checked every measurement, and explained the process along the way so we felt confident that the final result would be perfect. He also brought along a wide selection of books filled with fabrics, materials, and colors, giving us the opportunity to carefully select exactly what we wanted. His knowledge was remarkable. He could speak to the quality and durability of each material, and he also shared the history and background behind different fabrics and styles, which made the experience even more special.
After placing our order, we had a change of heart about the color a few days later. We thought it might be too late, but Carl was incredibly accommodating and helped us make the adjustment without any hesitation. That level of kindness and flexibility truly set him apart and showed how much he genuinely cares about his clients’ satisfaction.
When it came time for the fitting, Carl took it very seriously and treated it like a true art form. He guided us through the process with patience and expertise, ensuring everything was tailored exactly as it should be. Then, for the final fitting, he personally delivered the suit to us and made sure everything looked and felt perfect. The finished product was flawless. It was beautifully made, incredibly comfortable, and fitted with absolute precision.

My suit was a perfect fit! The personal attention and the home visit for Carl to take my measurements went smoothly and efficient. My suit had to be mailed to my home in Maine from Florida and I was assured that if there was any adjustments needed that he would reimburse me for any local alterations if needed. No alterations were needed the suit was extremely comfortable ! If you are going to walk your daughter down the aisle, please do so in one of carls creations !!!

Carl was the definition of professional during his whole process! My husband wanted a custom suit for a special event, and he was presented with tons of choices of fabric, styles, colors, buttons and more! We didn't know much about how to design a suit or the differences of fabric, but Carl's depth of knowledge and experience really helped us make an informed decision and resulted in a suit we were thrilled about!
