Dr. B has been my Ophthalmologist for 25 years. In that time, he's removed 2 cataracts for me, implanted 2 lenses, performed lasik on one eye and, most recently, successfully removed multiple problematic floaters. Based on the number of years, annual exams, and multiple procedures, I probably have a level of credibility that most other patients don't regarding his practice, "bedside manner", and the long-term success of his work but I have nothing but great things to say about it all.
The office staff are always pleasant, helpful, organized, and knowledgeable. When I've called with a question, symptom, or scheduling issue, I've never had anyone be short with me, grumpy, or felt my request or issue wouldn't be resolved in an appropriate way and responded to professionally and kindly.
Dr. B is always professional, approachable, listens to your input, answers your questions using common language, and is easy to talk to. In 25 years. I've probably had more than 35 appointments with him and his demeanor and behavior have been consistent.
He's also a terrific doctor. He looks out for you, doesn't recommend products or procedures you don't need, considers age related conditions that may creep up (e.g. mentioned watching me for glaucoma as I get older), and has done the same with my husband and our teen. A few years ago, I called one morning because our teen was having an eye issue. Though the snow was stacking up, roads weren't great, and a lot of businesses closed early, he made time to see us. He listened to what she described, did an exam and gave her eye exercises to address the issue. To be honest, we couldn't ask anymore of him. He's truly the best!
