I am so grateful to Carolyn as she helps me navigate the future with my mother-in-law. She is a wealth of information and saves me valuable time in not having to start at square one when an issue arises. It is comforting to know that I have an expert to turn to who has a clear understanding of our loved one’s and family needs. Carolyn has also offered insight into various professionals and agencies in our own community that we may need in the future. They do not charge families for their service and I know that referral fees are not the norm--for this organization, it's not about money. I first met Carolyn when a family member was dealing with Alzheimer's and we could no longer keep him at home. She is a wealth of knowledge on that subject and helped us identify quality care centers and guided us through the process, not to mention assisting with our education on the subject of Alzheimer's. That was several years ago. Just recently, she assisted my wife and I once again in identifying and then taking us on tours of assisted living facilities. She also suggested a very high quality organization called Cherished Companions that ultimately enabled us to keep our parents in their own home (we'd been using another organization to provide in-home care but it was not working out.) And again, she did all this without any sort of fees. I can't say enough about Carolyn and her organization.

Carolyn's advice and console is invaluable and extensive in helping me secure care and services for my sister for which I never knew existed. In addition she helped me develop a strategy for care and services to not only provide positive experiences for the patient but also to relieve family member caregivers of the stress and time of caregiving. My dear friend was diagnosed with dementia. I was going round and round in circles trying to take next steps to improve her life going forward. A miracle happened when by chance we met Carolyn. Within six weeks my friend sold her house and car and is living in a facility she loves. Carolyn is tactful, caring, diplomatic and non-judgmental, while at the same time she gets the job done. Her organization skills are top notch and she helped us accomplish what seemed an insurmountable task. I would give Carolyn and Caring Services ten stars. Five isn't enough!

I recently attended the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar with Caring Services LLC. Terry Hornikel did an amazing job presenting the material. She kept us engaged and shared real life experiences. She even gave us a nice take home notebook( which is very informative) and kit. Both Terry and Carolyn are very compassionate and really love what they do. I have recommended this course to a few of my friends. As a registered nurse working in the home care setting with dementia patients, this course has really taught me a lot and most importantly how to coach family members that are taking care of their loved ones with dementia. I recently took the course to become a certified dementia practitioner. As a client care manager that works with seniors in a home care setting, this course proved to be very valuable. Terry Hornikel did an amazing job leading the pre-requisite class for adult students like me who work with those living with all types of dementia. I'm grateful this training is available to those in and outside of the healthcare community. The training was enlightening, interactive and thorough and I'm happy to say I completed my Certified Dementia Practitioner credentials. Anyone who has loved ones or is a caregiver (personal or professional) would benefit greatly by taking this course to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Highly recommended because it's estimated the number of people and types of dementia are on the rise. This course is a must because you don't know what you don't know. Having the knowledge, tips and insights will benefit the caregiver and provide quality of life for those living with dementia. 😇
