My husband and I live in Lucas, and for the past six months, we have relied on Care Mountain for his care needs. Having lived with Parkinson’s for five years, my husband requires a caregiver who understands the complexities of the disease, and the professional assigned to us has been exceptional. She is deeply knowledgeable about the daily realities of Parkinson's from managing frozen gait and assisting with safe mobility to the critical timing of his medications. She specifically understands the vital importance of the gaps between meals and doses of Carbidopa Levodopa to ensure maximum effectiveness. Care Mountain provides caregivers for my Mom who lives by herself in McKinney and has Dementia. The caregivers they have provided us have been solid - both caregivers are highly experienced in Dementia home care, and are so patient with My Mom's care needs, on both her good days and bad. Her memory is severely impacted, and hence it takes an extra amount of patience to work with her to remind her of medications, meals, and to help her with other activities like toileting and showering. The company accepts Genworth LTC insurance and helps take care of all the insurance claim submission and payment processes every month, which has been so helpful. Overall, thwy have been so professional and reliable in thwir services. Definitely recommend.
My dad needed 2 weeks of support after his surgery. I called Care Mountain because they came highly recommended by a colleague. I chose live-in care for him because he was sleeping through the night and did not need active care during the nights. Care Mountain has live-in caregivers and the cost is much cheaper. His caregiver stayed with him 7 days a week and then a new person came for another 7 days. After 2 weeks I switched to a few hours a day schedule. Now he has one caregiver who comes for a few hours every day and helps him with getting dressed, meals and housekeeping stuff. They ensure that he eats his food and drinks enough fluids. He has not complained about the care and that is something coming from him. I have had no issues with billing or schedule with Care Mountain. Overall, a good and professional experience. I will definitely give them 5 stars especially for their quality and experienced staff.
My mom and dad have been using caregiving services from Care Mountain for about a year now. Mom has Vascular Dementia and dad needs daily activities support. He has post stroke functional limiations. A friend recommended Care Mountain and my parents couldn't be happier. It took us a couple of iterations to get the schedule right. Care Mountain worked with us in balancing costs and care needs. My sister and I spend weekend days with mom and dad so we do longer night shifts but no day shifts. And we have day and night shifts on weekdays. Care Mountain caregivers are experienced and know how to manage couples care. The office also helps with the insurance paperwork. We have been getting our reimbursements regularly. Care Mountain is a trustworthy company with top quality staff. And they truly want to help their patients, which is wonderful to experience. I will recommend them to anyone looking for care for their family.
I highly recommend Care Mountain. They have taken good care of my mother who has ALS. For those who are not familiar with ALS, caring for someone with this disease is a highly demanding job. Working with bipap machines, oxygen concentrator, cough assist machines and feeding tube, all of it can become tiring very quickly. But both our caregivers have been able to manage it all. Care Mountain's knowledgeable office staff matched my mother to the right caregivers who had the needed experience. They have been a true lifesaver, a support system that I can rely on. I am very grateful.
My father had a knee replacement surgery two month ago. We needed someone to come in for 5-6 hours during the day to help him with meals, laundry, dressing, transport and errands. I could not stay in town for more than a week so we hired Care Mountain. Their staff came in every day from 11 to 5. They prepared his lunch and dinner, helped him with his exercises PT came twice a week. The ladies took care of his laundry, helped him with shower, dressing and brought him his groceries. They nudged him to walk more as he started to heal - which was great because he needed that push. They also drove him to Doctors appointments during this time. He has stopped the services now but the support he received from Care Mountain when he needed it was wonderful.
Last year we started services with Care Mountain. My father in law is a Parkinson's patient. Unlike other companies, Care Mountain was transparent about how they needed time to get the right caregivers who had Parkinson's experience. They did a great job in forming a detailed understanding of his care needs including his stiffness, his sudden 'freezing' and medication and diet schedule. They did not start care right away. In fact, we waited 2 weeks before we got his first caregiver and another week before the second one came onboard. Care Mountain's caregivers followed his daily schedule with discipline I had written it down and posted it on the fridge. I believe his 'off periods' are much less after we got Care Mountain. He is doing better with his swallowing and his moods. They are also handling everything with his long term care policy with john hancock. Thanks to Care Mountain, my husband and I are able to balance my father in law's care along with managing work and kids.
My Mom is based in an assisted living facility, and I have Care Mountain providing companion caregiver support to her for 6 hours every day. It has been very helpful to both my Mom and I. The caregivers from Care Mountain are reliable and detail oriented. They are great advocates for Mom. They take her down to the facility cafeteria for breakfast and lunch, help her with showering and dressing and they stay on top of her medications. She also goes to more social activities downstairs now because the caregivers take her. With their help I am able to ensure that she has the support she needs to maximize her quality of life in the assisted facility. For those of you who have a similar situation with a parent in a facility, I would definitely recommend you speak to Care Mountain to see how they could be of help in enriching your parent’s quality of life and independence while having the safety and security of a facility.

Their nurse came out the same week, created a clear plan, and explained everything in a way I could actually understand. The caregivers have been patient, professional, and genuinely kind. We have had overnight shifts from Care Mountain for my Dad. Its been almost 18 months now. We take care of dad during the day and need overnight support since he requires active care in the night with his Oxygen concentrator. He also has hallucinations from his progressing lewy body dementia. Care Mountain has been reliable and they provide high quality care. In all the time Care Mountain has been with us, they have not missed any shift. They always have a replacement if a caregiver cannot come. They coordinate care very well. The three ladies who tag team across the week back each other up. The ladies are kind, compassionate and experienced. The office staff works collaboratively with us on dad's care plan. Overall, we have found Care Mountain to be a solid and trustworthy company, and would recommend them to anyone looking for private home care for their loved one.

We were struggling to help my Mom and Dad after Dad's stroke in May, when a family friend (she is also a nurse at UT Southwestern), recommended we speak to Care Mountain. Gagan and his team were very thoughtful and methodical in understanding all aspects of Dad's care needs and planning for it. We were on their post-stroke care package in which the Care Mountain team of Nurses, therapists worked closely with Encompass inpatient rehab to transition him home, and continue in-home rehab and recovery. The caregivers were a great support to Dad's day-to-day needs, and helped Mom in reducing the strain on her. Thanks to their focus and hard work, Dad regained a lot his functionality and is able to lead a decent quality of life. After their stroke care plan finished, we have since continued with Care Mountain caregivers for 5-6 hours a day of support to help Mom and Dad in their day to day care needs. Throughout our time with them, the Care Mountain team has helped us file claims with John Hancock LTC insurance policy. The insurance filing process has been smooth. We are grateful for this company's thoughtful and personalized approach to helping families needing senior care and would definitely recommend them.
I am grateful for the care and attention with which Care Mountain has helped take care of my Mom. My Mom is a dementia and COPD patient. We have had various companies and private caregivers before. Care Mountain's staff is much better in knowledge and experience. When we hired Care Mountain almost seven months ago, we were impressed with the time they took to really understand Mom's health. The key issue was how to help her with Bipap, to which she was very resistant due to mask discomfort. Care Mountain took the time to understand the care needs and assembled an excellent team of caregivers. Plus they connected us to a respiratory therapist. The caregiver already knew how to operate the model of Bipap machine we have. She helped mom use Bipap and gently pushed her to use it every night. I feel that made a big difference in mom's quality of life. I would highly recommend Care Mountain for customized care.
