Dove with them a couple weeks ago, had a great time! Thanks to our Divemaster Lee Wernowsky.
I brought a few newer divers with me, it was very safe, we'll organized and not over crowded. Lots of sea fans, fish , lobster, nurse sharks and Lee showed us where a really big Moray eel lives.
Took the afternoon trip today with Captain Brad, Lee, and Maddie. Wow it was great. Crew was helpful, fun, and knowledgeable!!
The reef looked great! Lots of diversity in fish. Shark was a highlight!!
Was in town for family and friends and everyone wanted to get out on a boat for part of the day. I'm an intermediate/advanced diver but not everyone in my group was but everyone had a great experience. The shop and the crew are easy to work with and the whole process was very accommodating for all levels. It's very affordable as well. The shop has great snacks and drinks you can buy if you forgot to bring them. The boat crew is both funny and professional and cares for your safety. If you want a private/advanced experience they can also point you in the right direction. Would definitely come back.
As a local I love to get to know the dive shops around the keys and I had a great time on the water with this crew! Big shout out to Alyssa, Captain Ron, and Lee for making a very warm, friendly environment that also felt safe, organized and clean. This is absolutely my recommendation for marathon diving 🫧🩵

Went today for a snorkel g trip, Great knowledgable staff, nice boat trip off shore to coral reefs, good equipment and briefing. Truly unforgettable snorkeling experience. Well worthy of 5 star.
Definitely get hooked with Hook’s
This was only the second time I went out on a paid snorkeling tour. I read many reviews before choosing Capt Hook’s. The price really was a bargain but in reading I liked the fact that fun was the focus. I had 3 of the greatest Crew Members, CPT Jeff, Lisa and Alex. All were very focused on their responsibilities but also fun. They are informative and loved sharing their knowledge without being condescending. Being a solo traveler I was concerned about safety. I never had a moment of fear once we arrived at our first location. I knew I was going to be left and I was being observed when in the open water. It was a great time. You won’t regret it.
I have always wanted to get my scuba diving certification and no better place to do it than in Marathon, FL. I completed my eLearning and then hit the pool session with my instructor David who was teaching me and another student. David was extremely knowledgable about diving, and helped us quickly gain the skills to stay safe and enjoy our dives in the open water. The following two days we had a spectacular time at Big Pine Keys where we did our first four dives. David and the rest of the Captain Hooks crew are absolute class! I highly recommend if anyone is thinking about getting their scuba diving certification that they do it here. Thank you David for your time and advice!

Really cool view of the water. Amazing fish tank outside filled with various species of fish 🐟 and sharks 🦈! Inside they have cool T-shirts, snacks,fishing poles and lures. I would definitely recommend going here if you are either cruising around in your boat or going out fishing🙂.

Had my first snorkel experience with them and it was great! It was a beautiful ride, even saw some dolphins on our way! The crew was super nice, especially when I started getting motion sick (which was my own fault, the waves were way more choppy than I thought I could handle). I was able to do some snorkeling at our first location and saw a reef shark within the first few minutes of being in the water and it was all I could’ve asked for! Wish I could’ve enjoyed the second location as well but we will be back to try again in hopefully smoother water next time we visit!

Good experience with this company. Crew on the boat was professional and helpful.
We were group of snorkelers and divers. Due to upcoming wind and current the crew had to handle to get all the snorkelers onboard.
Diving with divemaster “The amazing Mr. Lee” was fun and safe. He made the right call to cancel the second dive. The company compensated us without any hesitation in a professional manner.

We had a great snorkeling trip with Captain Hooks in Marathon! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We had a mixed boat of divers and snorkelers, and everyone had a good time. I even saw my first nurse shark! I've gone out with other snorkeling boats in the area, but Captain Hooks was by far the best. We'll definitely be back!

Great dive operation
I don’t write reviews, but felt compelled to write this one.I had the opportunity to dive with Captain Hook’s twice during my trip to Marathon Key. Lee was my dive master both trips, but the boat crew was different each day. Everyone on board helped to make my dives fun and memorable. I was signed up for a 3rd dive on my last day. We went took a 30 minute boat ride to the site. The water was choppy and after Lee checked the conditions below, the trip had to be canceled because the current was too strong. This is why Captain Hook’s is 5 out of 5. They put the safety of the divers ahead of the money! Unfortunately, this was my last day, so instead of rescheduling, I had to take the refund. Next time I return to the keys, I will be diving with Captain Hook’s and hope to have Lee as my dive master again.
