I’m happy to recommend Captain Renovation. They primed and painted my cornice and window frames and repaired some of the brownstone. The workers were courteous, neat and tidy. Communication with Mr. Hossain was great. By all means, use this firm.

We had Captain Renovation repair and paint our buildings cornice and do some long overdue pointing of our buildings rear facade. They scraped and painted our window frames as well. The work was done efficiently and completed on time. The team cleaned up the work site every evening and was respectful of our home being careful not to track dust on the floors of the interior of the building as they accessed the roof. The owner of the company, Hussain is very professional in his approach to the job. The estimate spelled out the work we agreed upon as well as a payment schedule based on observable milestones I would absolutely hire Captain in the future.

I highly recommend working with Captain. Mosharaf was easy to work with from beginning to end. Our building needed cornice work, brick pointing, etc. His team came to work when he said they would, did a great job, and finished in the timeframe he gave us. We have neighbors that worked with other companies and that didn’t happen for them. If your building needs work done then they’re the ones to call. Very reliable, quick to respond to questions, solid work.

Captain Contracting did a great job refurbishing our cornice. Mosharaf was very responsive and planned the work such that it was least disruptive to our neighbors. While we planned on using a cherry picker for the work, it didn’t work out due to parked cars so he pivoted and came back during a holiday weekend to use suspended scaffolding instead. His flexibility allowed for a seamless and quick job that only took 2 days. He left the roof cleaner than when he came, making sure to repaint any places where there were foot markings. Would definitely recommend!

MOSHARA and his crew were great. They did very detailed brick pointing on the rear facade of my brownstone and then out on a protective coating. I contacted them bc I had seen them working on a neighbors house in park slope and thought they were being thorough and detailed as I watched them for a few days. Also they didn’t look like they were trying to rush which is inportant I think if you’re doing this type of work. Another reason I really like MOSHARA is bc I feel like he was quite honest with me about the work. I contacted him in the winter and the. Asked him when he thought we should start - I knew best time to do this work with ci Crete is when temps are 50 degrees and up, which is what he told me. And so he said mid march ir later. Others I contacted said late February which I knew was too early so that’s when knew MOSHARA would be. Straight shooter. Easy to work with, fair price, thorough craftsman. Overall great person and team to work with

This group is excellent, found them by word of mouth after they did work on my neighbor’s home. Needed help sealing cracks in the stoop and outer walls on my limestone. Also needed power washing. The team came in and finished the work in 2.5 days. The seals blended well with the limestone, the exterior walls of my home are super clean, and now no more leaks even after heavy rain! They were clean and very professional. Grateful I found them!

Mosharaf Hossain of Captain Contracting has done three projects for us in a nine month period. First he rebuilt the stoop of our limestone townhouse. It had been neglected for many years and had been badly restored. He assessed the project carefully, came up with a thorough estimate, and proceeded to do every single thing he promised, on time and to a very high standard. He worked with us on designing every detail and matched the front of the house skillfully. HIs team is quiet, courteous, tidy, and prompt. When we added on additional things that needed doing -- pouring a sidewalk and front yard, and weatherproofing the sides of the house -- he gave us very fair estimates and completed them quickly. All the rubble was hauled away at once and with no disruption to our neighbors. We were so pleased with the work that when we discovered the roof was in bad condition during a heavy rainstorm, we asked Mosharaf to come back on very short notice and he put on a new roof within two weeks, which included coming up with a plan when we discovered that many of the joists were rotten. The add-on costs were very fair and the custom gutter fit beautifully. Lastly, when there was a sudden spike in the rat population in our neighborhood, we asked him to return to cement and seal the basement. He responded to my email the same day and the work was completed one week later to the usual high standard. We've run out of things for him to do, but if another project came up, we would not think of hiring anyone else.
