I am often in Little Italy. The food is always good here, but today it went over the top. I was at café D’Angelo. I had a beautiful homemade pappardelle truffle ruota (in the parmasean bowl) and filet mignon. Amazing!!! The servers and staff are amazing here. Florin was so helpful and amazing. Nicola masterfully created my meal table side. I wish ai could steal all of the staff here. Wowww!! Of course a meal like this is pricey, but worth it. I decided to indulge today. I highly recommend Cafe D’Angelo!!
From the first interaction with the waiter I realized that I might have fallen into a tourist trap.
The guy asked if I would like a glass a of water but brought a $8 bottle.
Pasta was tasty, I got to admit.
What I absolutely didn't enjoy was a hidden 18% gratuity fee (I was there on my own). I would have left a tip anyway, I just find their approach rude and disrespectful.
