Wally and the team responded immediately to our request for help, and gave us invaluable assistance in installing a new computer and configuring connections on our LAN, and especially to our old (but very good) printer. Their work was prompt and efficient, and very helpful with general advice following our upgrade from Win 7 to Win 11, which didn't want to run some of my older software. I can confidently recommend their services to anyone who requires assistance with their IT facilities.

My laptop fell off my bed - my fault completely. It worked normally for a few days then seized up and I couldn't open it. I contacted the support service for my brand of computer and was advised that I would receive a quote, which I did a day or so later. Almost $500 for the motherboard. I challenged this quote as no-one had looked at the laptop. It was based on my observations which had nothing to do with the motherboard.
I depend on my laptop for all my business affairs. I contacted my son in New Zealand, sent him photos and followed his advice..."to contact a computer repair service, explain that the problem was a physical one and get them to look at it". Long story short, I left messages on 3 answering services. Wally from Help Me iT&D was the only one who got back to me. He listened to me, liaised with my son in New Zealand and got the photos of the damage and made a time and came to my home and opened the lid so that I can now use it again! It had nothing to do with the motherboard and did not cost $500. It has to stay open as damage was to the frame of laptop. I have to remember not to try and close thereby cracking the glass of the screen.
This long story highlights how the intervention by Wally from Help Me iT&D saved me from repairs that were unnecessary and incorrect advice. I am a senior and not a computer specialist. In addition, I was treated with respect by Wally which is so important as one gets older.

As someone a bit overwhelmed by the modern computer environment we must all navigate, I made an appointment with iT&D, being a local Canberra company, to help me sort out some issues. They were very responsive. Wally made a time to visit me at my home later the same day, and he provided very helpful assistance and advice that went beyond the particular issues that prompted me to seek the help of iT&D.
I was having trouble setting up a new computer and Wally was able to come at very short notice and got things sorted asap. He showed me how to move hard drives so that I could run a back up and then do the final step myself. Great service, very professional
