This experience really concreted the fact that Japanese hair stylists understand Asian hair. The best haircut I’ve experienced to date. I had a hair wash, cut and style, within an hour I felt completely renewed. My hairdresser understood the assignment and my requests even without speaking fluent English. We communicated through Google translate and photos. They provide books of different hair styles to make the communication process easier. If you’re visiting Ginza and want a good salon experience, I’d highly recommend Canaan!
I thoroughly enjoyed the service at this hair salon. Although I don’t speak Japanese, my hairstylist, Masa, was able to communicate with me in English. He took the time to carefully examine my hair texture and inquire about my daily hair care routine. Based on this information, he professionally designed a stylish and manageable hairstyle that perfectly suits my features. I highly recommend their friendly and exceptional service.
As a foreigner, I had a pleasant experience coloromg my here at this hair salon earlier this year. I should have posted my comments in April, but I lost the business card, which I just found a minute ago. My stylist Karin was very friendly and give me good advice on my hair. and the price was reasonable! Highly recommended.
I made appointment online. Upon the appointment time, I came 5 minutes early and they proceed immediately. Everything is so efficient, I like the head massage during the hair wash, it was so relaxing. The hairstylist was so professional and skilful. I really liked the final result. Definitely will go back again next time!
Came here without an appointment with my friend for a shampoo and blow dry for her and a cut for me. Was lucky they accommodated us and was an amazing experience. They were very welcoming, and while English isn’t fluent, Google translate go a long way and if you just try a little Japanese too. Was an amazing haircut and such a gem of a find! My family summer vacation in Tokyo has wonderful experience in CANAAN hair salon in GINZA. My designer Karin鈴木 is awesome and I love my new hair color. My son’s new perm men’s hair style is just like K-pop. He loves it, too. Recommend to all tourist to come to enjoy a nice hair spa and new Japanese style salon. We just love it. BTW, hair designers are 鈴木 and 田中 san.
ロングから思い切ってショートボブにするために初めて伺いました。最初は色々とカウンセリグを経て要望を伝えさせてもらい、施術中も会話をしながら楽しくやっていただきました。
ただ、イメージ写真もお見せしながら、これくらいバッサリ切りたいというのをお伝えしていたのですが、仕上げの段階になって、スタイリストさんの方から“これくらいにとどめるのが良い、飽きた時にもっと色々試せるので、自分はもうこれ以上切りたくない”等を言われ、本当はもっと切って欲しかった所、少し心残りがある状態で終える形となりました。
お店にいる時は、ロングからだいぶ雰囲気が変わった自分を見て、良いかもと思っていたのですが、お店を出た瞬間から、本当はもっとこうが良かったのにと思ってしまったり、1週間程経った今、鏡や写真を映る自分の髪型が理想と違く、非常に残念な気持ちになっています。
スタイリストさんのアドバイスも有り難かったのですが、もう少し私が最初にお伝えした要望を尊重してくれたら良かったなと思います。
It was my first time getting a haircut in Japan and found Canaan! The hairstylist that helped me, Kanna, was professional, thoughtful and detail oriented. I knew zero Japanese and we communicated through Google translate. Kanna was patient and made sure she understood what my needs were. Really happy with the result. First time having my hair done in Japan , and it was an amazing experience! The environment was so modern , chic and relaxing; the hair stylist, Masahiko Uchiyama ,who worked on my hair was really patient and skilled. I was very pleased with the highlights and cut I got. Last but not least, the hair wash experience was nothing like I had before; the lady who washed my hair was very gentle , and I felt super relaxed while having hair washed. I will definitely go back next time when visiting Tokyo again!
