Its an amazing family pub with great people and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere
Great country pub serving good wholesome food. Great portion sizes, fresh and tasty food. Well worth the money. If you are passing its a must to get something to eat. Lovely beer garden as well.
Just finished a really gorgeous Sunday roast the best I’ve had for such a long time , food fabulous and also the service really friendly especially the lady who brought our dinner out who was talking to us about our dog and the fact she has two dogs x lovely friendly service x we will definitely be back again x
Had a lovely mid-week Christmas dinner. Huge portions for starters and mains. Good hearty food well cooked and presented.
Also a mid-summer lunch. Traditional pub food. Portions still large. Eton mess and rhubarb mess served like Knickerbocker glories!
Too often in my experience, people in the business of service and serving customers simply ignore the basics of good customer service. That is not the case with The Butcher’s Arms! Jackie couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. Also, happy for me to taste a couple of ales before.
We had lunch. My wife had the meat ploughmans which was delicious and plentiful - we ended up taking some of the meat home. I had the fish and chips, the fish was perfectly cooked. Great value for money.
Highly recommended and we will be back.
Top class
As always amazing food service and value for money. Very dog friendly in the garden and the bar area. A real gem no wonder they have just won an award.
4 of us ate here on Saturday afternoon , within 12 hours 3 people come down with severe food poisoning and have all had to take time of work. I spoke to the restaurant this morning to be told it definitely didn't come from this establishment however it was the the only thing all 3 of us ate in common . He then stated that it couldn't of been them because we ordered different meals however we all shared starters .
The frustrating part is I wasn't going to leave a review however they showed 0 sympathy or interest in this complaint and just point blank refused responsibility. As a group we spent around £150 here to all be left feeling unwell for over 48 hours
Me and my family ate here on the weekend , once we ordered the starters you could see staff were lingering around felt like they was rushing you to bring out the mains. I ordered the haddock and this has then given me food poisoning! I have never been so ill in my life along with another family member. When my Brother rang to tell them he then got accused of lying !
Do not eat here !
Delicious, well prepared food 👍
First time visiting - the place was very friendly, service good and for a pub the food was excellent. Well worth a visit.
What a fantastic pub, working in the area on and off for 7 months and my favourite place by far. Lovely people and as for the chief!! Highly recommended!

Lovely friendly environment, owners are Lovely and welcoming. On arrival the owner gave my nephew a gift of a toy car which was very sweet and told us about the donkeys he had in the rear garden. Its also a dog friendly pub, with small play area and toy cars to ride around for toddlers.
