Working with Michal, Jessika, and Maria along with the front desk team has been a pleasure. We worked with them through to help set up my parents affairs as they aged. They were able to help during crucial times when my mother was quite ill and they were very understanding. In my opinion, This attorneys office evicted a disabled person and their 14 year old dog, out of their own home in the middle of winter during a pandemic in regards to an estate issue. They have assisted the executor in committing fraud in reference to hiding assets. They also hired a realtor who took unprofessional pictures of the house in question and sold it under FMV behind my back. This organization, refuses to distribute my share of the Estate after 7 years, while charging the estate with over $50,000 in legal fees defrauding me. I had to contact the Second Judicial Department Attorney Grievance Committee to investigate for misconduct. Somebody is losing their license over this, I am not playing this game anymore. Highly unprofessional organization.

So good that I am using them for my dad’s estate planning. I was scared to work with lawyers for some reason, but I was walked through each step of the processes with patience and clarity. The office staff is also the most courteous and professional I could hope for; especially when dealing with stressful matters that I wasn’t sure how to handle/complete.

After my father in law moved in with us from California, his estate plan, including trusts, was redone to comply with New York law. When he passed, his complicated estate was seamlessly settled in a timely fashion. Burner Law Group has also assisted with property retitling and the staff is readily available to answer questions. At the very beginning of the pandemic, I was urgently called to NYC because my sister had suddenly had a mental breakdown. She had lived there alone for more than fifty years, and was no longer able to take care of herself. It was recommended that she be admitted to a local nursing home. The women at Burner Law Group were very helpful in getting us through the admission process, medicaid qualification if necessary, applying for Power of Attorney, and laws of the State of New York pertaining to this type of admission. It was a very difficult situation, but Burner was very helpful in assisting me in navigating through this unknown territory from another state. We much appreciated their help and concern.

I first went to the Burner Law Group when I needed to become my father's guardian. I was very impressed with the way the guardianship was handled and the way the group helped me with the problem I later had with my father's state residence when he died in 2003. Because my husband and I had such a good experience, we went back to the Burner Law Group to set up our trusts, our wills, and other legal documents. I also went back to finalize legal conditions after my husband's death in 2020. I have told others about the wonderful way the group explains what needs to be done, their helpful advice, and caring manner. I'm glad that I've dealt with them. Engaged the firm in 2021 to create updated estate documents for my Dad. Burner lawyers and staff have a thorough process for developing required documents. In this case a will, healthcare proxy, financial power of attorney, and irrevocable trust. Questionnaire, in person interview, draft documents for review based on what and why each document was for, finalize documents, meet to again explain each document and obtain signatures and notarize. Dad passed in June 2022 and as executor I followed the instructions as discussed and Burner staff were available to answer any questions. They also facilitated deed transfers of real estate. In summary a one stop shop for all legal estate planning needs. I wish they had an office in NJ!
