I’ve been hunting for this specific set of Recaro seats for a few weeks. I stumbled across them in a random YouTube video and had no idea this color combo even existed. Once I saw them, I knew I had to have them. What I didn’t realize was how limited they were and how tough they are to source.
From the very first call, Addison was beyond helpful. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to deep-dive everything going on with Recaro availability, lead times, and the nuances of these special-order seats. He gave me more information in one conversation than I was able to find anywhere online.
What really stood out was his level of customer service. Genuine care, enthusiasm, transparency, and lightning-fast communication across phone, email, and text. He followed through on every single thing he said he would, and he was never pushy. Instead, he guided me, gave me the facts, and helped me make an educated decision on a very expensive purchase. These project-car parts aren’t cheap, and he made me feel 1000% taken care of throughout the entire process.
He even went as far as reaching out to his account reps directly and getting me a confirmed allocated pair of seats, which was huge. That kind of effort is rare these days, and it deserves recognition.

I ordered an FI Exhaust through Bulletproof Automotive after speaking with Chris, who was initially helpful and responsive. Once I paid in full, communication completely fell apart. I later learned my exhaust wasn’t even ordered until a week after payment, despite being told it had already shipped.
When I followed up, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive responses; including a surprise $250 upcharge that was never explained or acknowledged. On top of that, I was quoted $585 for installation after being told I’d receive a discount, which clearly wasn’t the case.
In the end, I went to a local tuning shop that installed it for half the price and had me in and out right away.
Overall, there were no apologies, no accountability, and no effort to make things right. Bulletproof Automotive seems to prioritize big-name or SEMA clients over regular enthusiasts. I learned my lesson; I won’t be doing business with them again.
I recently purchased an FI exhaust through Bulletproof Automotive for my GT-R, and while there were some hiccups with FI sending the wrong tips multiple times, Bulletproof truly stepped up and showed what customer service should look like.
From the moment I brought my car in, Grant, Chris, and Moto went above and beyond. Not only did they adjust the exhaust to fit properly—at no extra charge—but they also took the time to inspect a few other things on the car, caught minor issues I hadn’t noticed, and fixed them on the spot. No upselling, no nickel-and-diming—just genuine support for a product they stand behind.
In an industry where it’s easy to feel like you’re just another invoice, Bulletproof made me feel like a valued customer. Their attention to detail, transparency, and willingness to make things right is rare. Order: ADRO aero kit for G87 M2 (front lip A14A90-1201, rear diffuser A14A90-1301, side skirts A14A90-1401, wing A14A90-1501).
Merchant: Bulletproof Automotive (Order #439404).
Financing: Affirm (two loans).
What went wrong
• 07/18/2025 Maersk shipment 400991494 delivered 3 items only (rear diffuser, side skirts, wing).
• The front lip (A14A90-1201) was not delivered.
• 08/21/2025 Affirm posted a $1,732.09 refund tied to the front-lip line item, which is consistent with non-delivery.
• Manufacturer ADRO confirmed in writing that all four SKUs are standard catalog parts (not custom/MTO)—so the “special-order/non-cancellable” policy doesn’t apply to block a refund for non-delivery.
My experience
• Repeated requests for basic proof the front lip shipped (front-lip tracking or package weight/dimensions, packing list naming A14A90-1201, POD/signature, vendor PO/ack) went unanswered.
• Instead, I was told the order was “delivered,” then later saw the front-lip refund appear—effectively acknowledging it never arrived.
Status & impact
• I paid for a complete kit but received an incomplete shipment.
• I’m seeking either a full refund of the remaining balance (total order $9,920.14) or a merchant-arranged, insured pickup of everything with full refund on first scan.
Takeaway
I would have appreciated transparent communication and timely resolution. Facts matter: three items delivered, one not; manufacturer confirms standard SKUs; front-lip refund posted. I’m asking only for a fair, complete remedy.

We hate to see this type of thing. This customer unfortunately has filed 5 different payment disputes, all of which were ruled in our favor based on actual screencapped evidence. That said, any piece they did not receive was completely refunded in full.
Unfortunately they then demanded a large sum of money to "not post bad reviews".
We want nothing more than to play a small role in helping enthusiasts build the car of their dreams. In our 25 years in business, the overwhelming majority of people we work are amazing and become like family to us. What this person has written is categorically false and a serious misrepresentation of the facts.
We'd encourage anyone in the enthusiast community to simply ask around about what Bulletproof stands for and our commitment to providing the absolute best service levels anywhere in the industry year in and year out.

I had been searching for a vendor that could give me an accurate date on when I could get HKS Hypermax coilovers for my 2007 MX-5. I got a straight honest answer of about 4-5 months so I opted to go for my 2nd choice Ohlins DFV Bullet proof was able to get them for me the next day at the best price available. Addison was very helpful in assisting me with my decision, made my question seem welcomed and my opinions valued. I will certainly recommend Bullet Proof Automotive when you are looking for good prices and excellent customer service that will follow up to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase.

How to even start this review for Bulletproof Automotive… Specifically Joseph!
Almost a year ago I placed an order for a Varis arising bumper and throughout the entire process Joseph has been the MOST communicative and helpful person I have ever to deal with when purchasing something online. This really meant a lot especially after spending a lot of money with a long turn around time.
The bumper did take a long time to get manufactured and shipped from japan but that was already expected, and as stated Joseph always was open to answering any of my questions and updating my regarding my order.
Eventually my Varis parts finished ,and from arrival to the port, to their facility and then to my driveway, Joseph made sure I knew where it was.
Without fault to Bulletproof and Joseph, my bumper unfortunately was not taken great care of from the shipping company. As seen in the other review of bulletproof the parts usually showed up on a pallet, and mine did not and the driver basically dropped the bumper out of the back of the truck onto the street and even had me carry it with him to my driveway. The boxes were dented and holes in some parts.
With that being said, Joseph ensured me they will take care of it and any damages that occurred due to the shipping.
Due to outside problems the bumper has just been sitting, waiting for the shop to free up to work on it for about a month. And just now Joseph reached out to me and checked the progress of my bumper and see if there’s anything they can help me with. Unsolicited; Joseph remembered me and my order and wanted to ensure that I was taken care of.
I know this is a lengthy review and I typically do not write reviews for companies but Joesph and Bulletproof’s outstanding customer service left me no choice but to write this review! I will be purchasing anything else i need for my vehicles/projects through them.
