We hired them for a kitchen renovation and had a consistently frustrating experience. The project was repeatedly delayed, communication was poor, and there was no clear project management. They worked off outdated plans, ignored measurements, and made major errors (including installing incorrect materials and even treating a sink cabinet as a standard cabinet) then tried to claim those were what we agreed to before correcting. The workmanship was below professional standards. Issues included poor finishes, damage to other parts of our home (including loss of electrical outlets), and lack of basic cleanup (paint splatter and leftover bags and debris) Despite multiple chances to fix these problems, the final repairs were rushed and still subpar. After months of back-and-forth, their only resolution was a minimal discount that didn’t come close to reflecting the extent of the issues. Overall, the project required far more time, oversight, and follow-up than it should have, and the end result did not meet the promised standard. I would strongly recommend looking at other options.

Build design center did an amazing job with our floors! We’re very happy with how our hardwood floors turned out after refinishing. They look refreshed and really brighten up the whole space. The staff was great to work with from start to finish. They were professional, friendly, and made the whole process easy. Overall, we’re really pleased with both the results and the experience.

The entire layout of our bathroom was relocated, which involved a lot of heavy work behind the walls. Build Design Center replaced all the old pipes and installed a new soaking tub and a double vanity. They were very honest about the timeline and didn't hit us with any surprise costs.

Build Design just completed redesign and installation of my kitchen, bathroom & family room wet bar. Emre guided us in selecting beautiful designs, tile, fixtures and appliances that transformed our rooms. The two project managers, Ata and Onur, were onsite and very engaged in overseeing the construction work of their team members. The planning and execution of our projects were flawless. the custom hardwood cabinetry, beautiful tile work and fixtures were expertly installed within the established timelines. I am excited to get started on the powder room and master bath updates next week!

The team at Build Design Center in Georgetown just competed two additional bathroom projects for us that are both beautiful and functional (unlike what they replaced!) We met with Emre at their design studio and within 90 minutes we had picked out all the fixtures, stone & accessories and Emre created the plans with us for both our Master Bathroom and for our guest Powder Room. Onur was our Project Manager and was always hands-on as he managed the complexities of the projects and kept to the committed timeline. The demolition and construction teams were tidy and efficient and built everything with perfect detail. We highly recommended Emre and his team. This was the second set of projects they have completed for us in the past 3 months as we were so pleased with the full bathroom renovation, the wet bar renovation, and the kitchen redesign we had done in December & January.

What stood out most about Build Design Center was how trustworthy the whole process felt. From permits to inspections, everything was handled properly and transparently. I contacted Build Design Center Kitchen & Bath after seeing their sign while they were working at my neighbor’s house, and I also got to see their work firsthand. The designer, Italo, created an awesome design based on our kitchen layout, and we were able to see it in 3D before moving forward. The team was very responsible throughout the construction process—especially Diyar, the project manager, who kept us updated at every stage of the project. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a kitchen remodeling project in Leesburg!

We went in to build design center with an odd request to find a faucet to match the rest of our bathroom fixtures. Becca was extremely helpful in finding a match that we would not have found on our own. She was so friendly and willing to help. While we were not there to do a full bathroom renovation, we could tell just by Becca’s customer service that any service through Build Design Center is top-notch quality.

Build Design Center Kitchen & Bath remodeled our laundry room, partial master bathroom remodel, but the best of all was our kitchen remodel which also included a butler's pantry, wine bar, and workspace area. Nadide and Becca were instrumental in selection of cabinetry, design, and hardware. Their installation crew is exceptional. They helped us make good decisions based on their extensive experience. Their work is very high end. The substantial part of the kitchen remodel was done in three weeks. I am truly appreciative of the value and return on investment they brought to our house. Photos below show the kitchen at 95% completion.

Build Design Center handled our home addition, and the experience was very positive overall. It’s a big project, so we expected a few bumps, and yes, there were a couple of unexpected adjustments along the way — but they communicated well and handled everything professionally. The new space blends nicely with the original structure instead of looking like something tacked on, which was a big concern for us. They managed permits, inspections, and all the logistical headaches, which made the process much easier on our end.

We selected Build for a plumbing and bathroom project based on the positive reviews we saw online. We are glad we did and we're happy to contribute our own positive review. We met Emre at the showroom and after just a few brief conversations and visit to the house, he came up with excellent design ideas that matched our preferences. He was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. The work started quickly and was finished on time. Our project managers Onur and Atabey were also responsive and made sure we had finished bathrooms we loved. A few minor things could have been better - we'd prefer if they'd updated us on progress more regularly, there were some mixups in products delivered, and some measurements were off (common to old homes like ours). But in the end we are so happy with the finished work and recommend Build to anyone doing a project in DC. We would work with them again.
