Excellent visit today. Admission is very reasonably priced, with kids under 5 free, and memberships making entry free for those under 18—a great value for families.
There’s an incredible variety of plants to explore, tons of well-maintained trails, and beautiful open green spaces throughout the arboretum. The gift shop has a nice selection of plants for sale as well.
It’s also very dog-friendly—we saw plenty of four-legged friends enjoying the trails, which was great to see. Accessibility is another big plus, with many trails available for visitors with mobility considerations.
Overall, a fantastic experience and a place we will definitely be returning to.
Went today Sunday Jan 18th. Not to crowded. Nice trails to walk on. Not to crowded. Alot of interesting formations of plants. Stain glass art is nice. You hike right up to base of the mountains and along side it. If you have a family and not to far away from the Arboretum just get the annual membership price. You can reuse it again.
The Arboretum grounds were impressive, just so beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were so impressed with the facilities that we purchased a dual annual pass (the cost of our adult tickets were applied to the dual annual pass so we only paid an additional $21.10). What a deal! One of the ticket clerks gave us a brochure from the Superior, AZ chamber of commerce on nearby eating establishments where we had lunch and then ice cream. We would recommend Felicia's ice cream shop on Main St in Superior, AZ.
Went to see the park at night for the luminary December nights and was a bit disappointed. Not much was lit up and was hard to see a lot of the plants. The entrance fee (full price) was high for such small amount of what can actually be enjoyed - would not recommend. Save your money and go during the day because I hear it’s beautiful and worth it.
Arrived at the arboretum for a dog reactivity class. My lab was barking crazily as I was figuring out how to best get to the class. A gentleman from the arboretum took me “behind the scenes” and helped me navigate the best way to get to the building, even speaking with the instructor to let her know I was waiting with a very anxious dog. I so appreciated him and wish that I would have gotten his name. Thank you sir for your kindness and assistance.
