Went back to have an A/C leak fixed. They did a great job fixing it, and kept me informed of the progress. They were quick, and flexible enough to comply with my schedule. A little high on the price, but the service was excellent. I'd recommed them to anyone.
Hi David!
I am sorry to hear you were not happy with your visit at our shop. From the time we met until you left, you seemed happy with the service we provided you. We take a lot of pride in providing the best possible service to our customers. I believe there was a misunderstanding during your visit.
You stopped by with your 2001 Chevy Tahoe on 3/19/24 to inquire about an A/C service. I gave you a quote of $220.00 plus the cost of freon needed to complete the service. Although you did not have an appointment and we had a full schedule that day, I worked you in. While the technician was performing the service, you asked me if we use sealant during the service. I said we typically don't add sealant during a service and you seemed fine with that answer. If you want a shop to use sealer during an A/C service, I would advise having that conversation prior to the work being performed. If you would have requested to use sealer when I was creating the work order, I would have advised you on the possible issues it may cause and gave you a quote based on adding sealer to the service. The technician notes stated the following:
[A/C Refrigerant Service Results]
Refrigerant Recovered ( 1.89 Lbs.) Refrigerant Charged ( 2.7 Lbs.)
- PAG Oil Recovered ( 0 oz.) PAG Oil/Dye Added ( .5 oz.)
- A/C System Vacuum Test (PASS)
Service Provided:
A/C Service (Evacuate, Vacuum test, Recharge, and add dye).
When the service was completed, I went over the results with you. I also informed you that in some cases, an A/C system will pass a vacuum test but still have a leak. We add a dye with every service. If there is a leak in the system, the dye will assist us in locating the leak.
In regards to using sealers, it would be negligent for us to add a sealer on every A/C recharge. Most of those sealers are only temporary, if they work at all, plus, they will eventually clog up the entire A/C system. Furthermore, the sealant will remain in the system, and it could react with moisture already in the system, which comes from low refrigerant, causing major issues to the whole A/C system. Once that happens, there is no turning back and the repairs would be extensive.
Wishing you the best in your future automotive repairs!

Bryan’s Automotive has been reliable for routine maintenance, and I’ve generally had good experiences with the quality of their work. They’re a solid shop for basic upkeep.
The only challenges I’ve run into recently are related to flexibility. I’m someone who does a lot of research on my specific vehicle and prefer to use OEM‑correct fluids and follow preventative maintenance schedules. Bryan’s no longer allows customer‑supplied OEM fluids, which is important to me. I’ve also noticed that when I request a preventative service, I’m often asked why I want it unless they’ve recommended it first. For someone who knows exactly what they’re asking for, that can feel a bit limiting.
Additionally, my 10,000‑mile inspections haven’t been showing up on CarFax even though the services were completed.
Overall, they’re dependable for standard maintenance, but some of their recent policies and communication habits don’t fully align with what I’m looking for as a proactive, detail‑oriented car owner.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re glad to hear that you’ve consistently found our team reliable for routine maintenance and that the quality of our work has met your expectations. We truly appreciate customers who take a proactive, research‑driven approach to caring for their vehicles!
We also understand your concerns regarding our policies on customer‑supplied fluids. As a general rule, we do not use customer‑provided parts or fluids, but we are always happy to supply factory specific OEM fluids upon request. For all fluid services, we use products that meet or exceed factory specifications, though we certainly understand and respect your preference for specific OEM‑branded options.
Regarding your 10,000‑mile inspections not appearing on CarFax, we apologize for the inconvenience. Although we partner with CarFax, we don’t directly report to them—CarFax independently pulls information from our repair database on their own schedule. We’re more than happy to review your records with you to ensure everything is properly documented on our end.
In summary, we truly value your trust and your high standards for vehicle care. Thank you again for sharing your experience—your feedback helps us continue improving the way we serve our community. If you have any other concerns, I would be happy to discuss them with you.
Sincerely,
TJ

I moved to Lacey Washington about two years ago. I am so glad I discovered Bryan's. It's a superb auto repair shop. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. I drive a Land Rover and they've taken care of my car nearly every time. If it's something that I must take to a dealer they will nonetheless conduct a diagnostic providing me precise information prior to taking to a land rover dealership. I high recommend Bryan's.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. Moving to a new area and finding a shop you can trust isn’t always easy, so it truly means a lot to us that you chose Bryan’s and have continued to bring your Land Rover our way.
Our whole team works hard to make sure folks feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of, and hearing that you’ve experienced that really makes our day. We know Land Rovers can be particular, and we’re always happy to run diagnostics or give you solid information before you ever have to make a trip to the dealership. That’s just part of looking out for our neighbors.
We’re grateful to have you as part of our little community here in Lacey, and we appreciate your recommendation more than you know. Thank you for trusting us with your vehicle — we’ll always do our best to earn that trust every time you come in.

Bryan’s Automotive is a great shop - honest, reliable, and they do great work for a great price. We have our vehicles serviced here and have high mileage vehicles. They always do excellent work and have great customer service. They always explain everything thoroughly.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share a honest review. We take a lot of pride in being honest, reliable, and thorough, so hearing that you’ve consistently experienced that with us truly makes the work worthwhile.
High‑mileage vehicles have their own personalities, and we know how important it is to keep them running strong. We’re always glad to walk you through what we’re seeing, what needs attention, and what can wait — no surprises, just straight answers and solid work. That’s how we believe a local shop should operate.
We’re grateful you trust us with everything from inspections to filters to suspension work. Customers like you are the reason a small, veteran‑owned shop like ours can keep doing what we love for our community. Thank you again for your support and for choosing Bryan’s.
We really appreciate your review Amy! Our team works hard to provide great service in a welcoming environment, and it means a lot to hear that reflected in your visit. Thanks for choosing Bryan’s Automotive!

Was super friendly and fast turn around on a diagnostic. Definitely recommend to my family and friends
Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re really glad we could get you in quickly and point you in the right direction. We truly appreciate you recommending us to your family and friends — that means a lot to a small veteran‑owned shop like ours. If you ever need anything down the road, we’re here to help!

Car died in the middle of the road, and had it towed here after hours. Filled out the form and left my key and was contacted the next morning, giving me an estimate on a timeline. They inspected my car a day earlier than expected, diagnosed the problem, quickly ordered parts and fixed a problem I was expecting to be much worse. They were very pleasant on the phone and in person. Will come here again if needed!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. We know how stressful it is to have your car die out on the road, especially after hours, so we’re really glad we could make the situation a little easier for you. Our team tries hard to keep people informed and get cars looked at as quickly as possible, so hearing that we were able to inspect yours early, track down the issue, and get it fixed sooner than expected truly means a lot.
It was a pleasure speaking with you both on the phone and in person, and we’re grateful you trusted us with your vehicle during a rough moment. If you ever need anything down the road, we’ll be here for you.

Great people, good prices, and a ride to and from the shop. Your going to pay alot of money anyway, why not go somewhere you can trust the team and get free pickup/dropoffs?
Thank you Cody, for the fantastic review! We’re glad to hear you appreciate our team, fair pricing, and the convenience of our courtesy shuttle. It means a lot to know you trust us with your vehicle, and we’re always here to make the process as easy and reliable as possible!

Brian's Automotive was amazing to work with! Very fair, honest, and communicated well with us! We had the transmission, and differentials serviced as well as a full inspection to make sure any other maintenance wasn't needing done! I asked if the spark plugs and wires needed done or if it needed a full tune up and instead of just adding another thing to charge us through the roof for he was really honest and said how about we check and see if you even need that done before adding it to the list. They did a FULL inspection of EVERYTHING. They let us know of a couple lights out and said other than than mechanically-the car looked phenomenal! Their pricing was very fair and much under what we expected to pay before inquiring and so easy to work with! We will be coming back again and again! Its hard in the automotive industry to find honest people to get the job done well but they have 100% earned out trust!
Thank you so much for sharing this incredible review Shyanne! Being fair, honest, and transparent is at the core of how we operate, so it means a lot to know that came through during your visit.
We’re glad our team took the time to thoroughly inspect your vehicle and confirm what truly needed attention — and just as importantly, what didn’t. Your trust matters, and we never take that lightly. Thank you for choosing Bryan’s Automotive!

My truck was showing a Check Engine and TCS (Traction Control System) codes for the #8 Cylinder misfire. I begin changing the spark plug(s) and the Ignition coil for that #8 cylinder when I noticed there is engine oil seeping out of the Exhaust Manifold bolt. The Bolt was broken inside the engine wall itself. That's when I stopped and realized this simple job was above my level. I called Bryan's Automotive, set up an appointment, they performed a vehicle inspection and called me back the same day. From that moment on I knew they were the perfect Repair Shop to do the job (after numerous calls in town and around the Tacoma area). They pinpoint the problem, interpreted the codes with their findings and presented to me a couple of options. All the way from the expert Mechanic(s) to Front Desk Staff, all hands were absolutely on point explaining the repair to me, knew exactly the work been done and kept me updated. Finally the price quoted was very reasonable and they were willing to work with me explaining the options available. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a highly capable Repair Center to work their truck or car. In fact I gave a couple of their business cards to a couple other friends even though they live way from the area (Gig Harbor). I am very happy with the results and my girlfriend was very impressed too. Thank you Team Bryans!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience in such detail! We’re really glad you reached out when the repair became more involved, and it means a lot to hear that our team earned your confidence from the very first call. Our technicians work hard to diagnose issues accurately and explain every option clearly, and it’s great to know that came through at each step.
We truly appreciate your trust, your recommendation, and even sharing our cards with others. Knowing both you and your girlfriend were impressed is the best feedback we could ask for. Thank you for choosing Bryan’s Automotive!!

Been going here for a little while and service is always really good. Plus they don't get annoyed with me for having a tiny little Fiat that's a pain to work on. At least they don't let me know they are annoyed and they still do the work which hasn't been my experience other places.
Thank you so much for sharing this Casey! It’s great to hear that you consistently receive good service from our team.
Knowing that you’ve had different experiences elsewhere makes your feedback even more meaningful. We’re grateful for your trust and look forward to helping you keep that Fiat running strong. Thank you for choosing Bryan's Automotive!

I seriously can’t say enough good things about Bryan’s Auto Shop. They were beyond helpful and truly went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe for the weekend.
My husband has been gone and I was honestly feeling overwhelmed and unsure what to do, but everyone at Bryan’s made me feel completely taken care of. They were so kind, patient, and genuinely supportive the whole time.
They even offered to put my kids’ car seats in their shuttle just to help me get the kids picked up from school… like who does that anymore? It meant so much.
I’m so grateful for the entire team and will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend Bryan’s Auto Shop if you want good people who really care about keeping your family safe.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this Ashley! It truly means a lot to hear how supported you felt during your visit. Our team cares deeply about making sure every customer feels safe, respected, and looked after—especially when life is already throwing extra stress your way.
Going the extra mile, whether that’s helping with car seats or making sure your vehicle is ready for the weekend, is simply part of how we believe a shop should operate. Knowing that it made a difference for you and your family is incredibly meaningful to us! Thanks again!

I went in there for specific things literally told them to change a 02 sensor cuz I had a code pop up for it . They took my car in changed one coil pack and charged me almost 700 $ didn't fix anything I told them too and light came on day after I got my car back . Overcharge and shutty service . Techs dint even talk to you only a girl behind the desk that ain't even mechanically inclined
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take every concern very seriously, and we’re sorry to hear you left feeling dissatisfied. After reviewing your visit, we want to clarify a few important details.
On 01/16/2026, you brought your vehicle in with the following concern:
*“Diagnostic – Customer reports vehicle running poorly. Vehicle has sat for over a year. Customer reports vehicle feels like it cuts in and out while driving around 35–40 mph.”*
During our diagnostic, our technician confirmed that the issue was **not** caused by an O2 sensor, but by a failing ignition coil and worn spark plugs, which created a hard misfire under load at approximately 40 mph. The only active code present was **P0303 (Cylinder 3 Misfire)**. No O2‑related codes were active at the time of testing. We only recommend repairs directly related to the issues identified during diagnostics, and the work performed reflected those findings. After completing the repairs, we test‑drove the vehicle and confirmed that the hard misfire was resolved. Had we simply replaced the O2 sensor, the misfire would have remained.
If your check‑engine light has since come back on, it may indicate a separate issue. We would be happy to re‑inspect the vehicle at no additional charge.
We also want to address your statement that you were charged “almost $700 for a coil pack.” That is not accurate. Your charges were as follows:
- Diagnostic fee: **$150.00**
- 1 quart of 5W30 synthetic oil (top‑off): **$7.24**
- Replacement of spark plugs and one ignition coil (the other three coils appeared to have been replaced recently): **$451.01**, approved by you
Your total invoice was **$680.93**, which includes parts, labor, and taxes.
Additionally, several concerns were noted during your visit:
- Significant oil consumption (possible turbo‑related issue; requires further diagnosis)
- No oil visible on the dipstick (topped off)
- Coolant approximately half a gallon low (topped off)
- Front tires with severe inside shoulder wear (belts exposed)
- Cracked drive belts
Given that the vehicle had been sitting for over a year, it’s not unusual for multiple issues to surface. However, the misfire you originally reported was resolved after the approved repairs.
**Regarding your reference to our service advisor as a “girl,” we feel it’s important to note that this is not an appropriate or respectful way to address a woman. Language like that comes across as dismissive and disrespectful.**
We wish you the best with your future automotive repairs. As a general recommendation, if you ever experience concerns after having work performed at any shop, reaching out to the business directly gives them the opportunity to address the issue. At Bryan’s Automotive, we always go the extra mile to take care of our customers.
