August summer holidays
Amazing. Absolutely love coming here. Our family adores it and Robyn and James are amazing hosts. Everything you need is here and the added bonus of gorgeous animals is fab. Love the personal touches, such as our coffee order is remembered every time we visit the cafe. Even 6 months between visiting!!! And you are greeted by name. James and Robyn definitely know how to run a site and it's so safe for children to play. And amazing when you make friends with other campers and plan to book and come together next year.

Lovely, family friendly campsite with farm animals in a rural location however 15 minutes from the likes of Whitstable and the coast. Owners are friendly and welcoming but also happy to let you crack on as you want. Only gripe is that the showers and toilets could do with some tlc and more frequent cleaning however, not an issue if you're staying for 3 to 4 days. The site backs onto Blean nature reserve and forest and you can get lost for hours walking and has a good evening vibe when you return with the firepits and bbq's. Will definitely return again.
Stayed here before, friendly enough owners and it was decent enough to return. We knew what to expect from the facilities - others have mentioned about the cleanliness - it is true, they could use some TLC.
However, from what I understood, the last pitch up on site, is around 8pm. We had a couple rock up at 10:30pm, pitching up next to us, hammering pegs in and whatnot.
I feel some feedback is due; kindly reinforce the site rules as it helps to make sure people aren't going against them, and if they do, ask them to leave.
We weren't the only guests disturbed by this couple and whilst this situation isn't directly the site managements fault, it is their responsibility to make change.
If set rules are in place, viewable clearly on the webpage and throughout the site, it would likely help alleviate this sort of issue.
It's unlikely that we will return.
Great little site 👍
This site was a last minute booking for us, and was perfect for what we needed. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers are what you expect on a off grid (ish) site on a working farm. Pitches are good sizes, and peaceful. The cafe is sweet, great idea. No complaints from. Thank you
Friendly and pleasant camping site, medium to small in size.
Felt the pitches were a tad too small as struggled to get tent and car within 'posts' so had to leave car in front of tent.
It's nice to have animals on site which was nice for the kids but be prepared for animal noises in early morning!
The is cafe serving drinks and snacks and evening a pizza oven is used.
Main issue for me was the very basic shower and toilet facilities. Also could have been cleaned more frequently in high usage times. I would stay again as nice site but only for a day or two
Stayed for 3 nights. Great location for Whitstable, Canterbury and the coast. A chilled out rural site on the edge of a wood. Pitches were a good size with free fire pits. Good choice of fresh stone baked pizzas available most evenings.
Toilets needed a good scrub, especially the floors and walls. I understand it’s advertised as basic, but it should be clean, and the showers could do with some TLC.
A good campsite with beautiful surroundings. Family friendly, with small animals on site. Basic grass pitches which are reasonably close together so when full it can feel a bit less private and noisier. A good cafe attached and a pizza oven with friendly staff. Showers and loos are okay, but could do with some updating for me (hence the 4 stars rather than 5). It is in a great location within easy reach of lots to do, but not really the type of site where you could easily pass several days without having a wander about. We would return. Good value for money.
Perfect campsite
Last minute booking. 2 families. We had the nicest little break here. Clean facilities, tidy pitches, quiet by 10pm. The animals were a fantastic bonus. The morning ground crew (chickens) were attentive and did a thorough job! Hoping to book again before the end of summer :)
Nice complaints here ! We had a Grass Pitch with Electric hook up. Huge pitch with level ground.
Nice peaceful venue.
Good toilet and shower facilities. Nice tidy 'wash up ' area.
On site pizza available and a small coffee hut j
ust next door - all very good and superb value!.
The small farm animals are super cute and kept the younger generations entertained.
Whitstable is a short drive away.
Superb Hosts!
Wonderful campsite - located in a stunning and quiet part of the Kent countryside - perfectly located for the Viking coast and walks from Whitatable along to Margate. The site is superbly laid out - with excellent facilities - including a great little cafe, pizza shack and animal pens. The owners are lovely people - really friendly and helpful. It’s a great set up and one of the nicest sites I’ve been to in the UK - and reasonably priced compared to many. The Dove pub nearby is excellent too.
Just had such a lovely night stay at this fabulous family owned campsite. I’m fairly local but never been to this area of Kent before and just loved it. So so peaceful and great cycling nearby. Basic but great facilities, clean, tidy, and options to get a coffee / sauna which I thought was a great idea. We will be back! :)
