Worth every cent. Moving sucks, and my move was especially annoying, but Caesar and Philip made it go smoothly and quickly. They were professional, handled my stuff with so much care, and were a pleasure to be around. I would hire them again in a second, but let's hope I don't need to anytime soon.
One of the best experiences I've ever had moving. Trey and Marco were helpful, friendly, and professional. Moving being a stressful as it is having these two gentlemen take care of my wife and I and all of our Goods made the day that much easier . I would recommend this moving service to anyone in Multnomah County
Our Bridgetown Moving experience was great due to professionalism, transparent with fees and fair rates, responsiveness, and value for the services. Sully was thorough and very helpful with questions and getting our moving day set up. We really appreciated Roberto and team’s overall approach to meeting our moving needs. They worked with politeness, efficient hustle, knowledge of protecting our home furnishings, and even disassembled and reassembled bed furniture!
Would recommend and have spread the word.
I always spend time researching anything I plan on spending a lot of money on, and decided on Bridgetown due to overall reviews on multiple sites. All I can say is they don’t really live up to that “5-star review” they say they have.
Customer service in the office was fine. I talked with Sully to set up the move and he was good amount answering questions and sending out reminders. I didn’t really have a problem there.
The move on the other hand was average. Two men showed up, and were on time, which was a good start. One of the men was very friendly and communicative about everything. He had great customer service and was very professional. The other guy, not so much. I’m pretty sure he hates his job and he shows it in his mannerisms. I get it, moving sucks, heavy lifting sucks, stairs suck, but you still should have some level of professionalism (especially when handling others belongings).
The move took about an hour longer than I hoped, but there were a lot of stairs so it is what it is. The main problem in the physical move itself was a lot of areas of drywall damage, wall nicks, etc. most of it was from getting my long couch up the stairs (which I appreciate them doing) but wish they would have warned me they would have to cause the damage to get it up.
Luckily, my complex fixed the main spot without any issue. Overall, it wasn’t definitely not the best mover experience but it was not the worse either. Just middle of the road.
This was my third time hiring Bridgetown Moving. I’ve always spoken highly of them based on my past experiences, and have recommended them to many people. However, this was likely my last time using their services. While the two guys who came to move my one bedroom apartment were nice and they moved my belongings with care and no damages, they took 3x longer to complete my move than what was quoted to me initially.
Based on my past experiences, this move should have been straightforward and easy to complete within 2-3 hours. I had all of my belongings packed up and ready to go (other than the clothes that would need to go in wardrobe boxes), I was moving from one apartment building to another one just 10mins away, I only had a couple pieces of large furniture to move, and I had scheduled myself to be the first move of the day (8a start time). When I called to schedule the move I was quoted a price based on a 2-hour timeframe, so I budgeted for 3 hours just in case it went long.
But unfortunately for my stress levels and for my budget, this move took 6 HOURS to complete and I’m not even sure why. I mostly only saw one of the guys during the move out portion, and didn’t feel any sense of urgency from him to get the job done in a timely fashion that would be considerate of the fact that I was paying by the hour. The move out portion took so long that by the time we got to my new building, there was only 10 minutes left on my reservation for the freight elevator (which I had booked for 3 hours), and the reservation couldn’t be extended. So that made the move in process more stressful.
In the end I ended up paying double what I had planned for ($1000 + tip instead of $550), which is a huge unexpected blow to a tight budget. And unfortunately this experience will definitely make me consider other mover options for my next move. :(
Everyone at Bridgetown was great. They were able to get me in on relatively short notice. Al and his crew were friendly, efficient, thorough, and careful. They did a great job of communicating and managing expectations, and were kind and helpful when we needed to problem-solve. What could have been a very stressful process was smooth and successful. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for help with moving.
We had a fantastic moving experience with Bridgetown Moving & Storage! Sulley, Roberto, Trey, and Martin were all stellar to work with. We had a close, local move in Portland and the entire team was professional, friendly, efficient, most importantly, handled our items with care. Strong communication from the beginning and during the move, which put us at ease. We will absolutely use their team for our next move. Could not recommend this team more!
Roberto's team was AMAZING!! I was shocked at how quickly and efficiently they wrapped furniture and moved everything. Came in well under our time and financial budget for the move, and all our stuff was well taken care of. We will be recommending them to anybody we know for years to come.
