As empty nesters, my wife and I decided to hunker down in our suburban home of 20+ years instead of moving inside the loop or buying a vacation home. To do that we decided that a major remodeling effort was needed to remake our house into our “oasis in the city”. Jeremy and the Brickmoon team took our practical vision and created a completely new living experience that exceeded our imagination. Their ability to provide both architectural and interior design services simplified our project and shortened the construction process.

We were so fortunate to work with Brickmoon. After our home flooded on Memorial Day 2015, we searched for a firm who could help guide us, hold our hands, and design our forever home. We got great support, wonderful ideas and what turned out to be a beautiful home. Their attention to every detail in our design was truly remarkable. For what was a hard situation for us being uprooted unexpectedly from our home, Brickmoon made lemonade out of our lemons. We are in the floodplain and we prepared for a flood to happen again. And it did -- two years later Harvey hit and our house made it through. We couldn't be more happy with the quality of their work..

Brickmoon did an amazing design for our 1950's ranch style house. After we presented them with a design we thought would work they came up with ideas that we had never even considered. With the first draft of the design we knew they had nailed it! The house turned out great and we get lots of compliments. Planning to use them again for our next project.

My family was blessed to have Jeremy and his team do such a wonderful design for our remodeled home. Working with a house built in 1955 and getting it expanded and updated, without losing the charm and comfort of the home was key. They did amazing work , and I've seen the great things they've done for other homes, even in the historic district of Houston. I can't say enough about the level of professionalism, timeliness, and talent that Brickmoon Design brings to a project. I highly recommend them to all my friends.

We bought a used home and the kitchen was in need of a remodel....and wow did we get one! Jeremy took one look at it and he knew exactly the look I was going for and nailed it with his design. Jeremy, Alex, and Jimmy provided excellent service in developing our Heights remodel plans. Their experience with remodeling homes in the historic district allowed us to move quickly and seamlessly through the approval process (in fact, we never had to show up to a hearing). I was impressed with their ability to think outside of the box to create an innovative floor plan that fit our needs yet stayed within the historic guidelines. From the very beginning, the Brickmoon team listened intently to our goals and strived to incorporate them into the plans. At the same time, their team guided us when needed to make sure our plans flowed well and maximized efficiency. Whenever we had questions or concerns along the way, they were quick to respond. Whether you're remodeling in the Heights or building new, I highly recommend using Brickmoon.

Jeremy @ BrickMoon listened intently and interpreted perfectly our wants in our new build. He and his staff then executed a set of plans that continues to blow our minds. We stayed on schedule, within budget, and learned a great deal about the design/build process. The advice and insight we gained on certain structural scenarios nicely helped us narrow the design options down, resulting in a superior final product. When driving up we now notice visual details like stairways, range hood, and wall art that are all perfectly framed by the windows. Top quality in and out. This is the genius of Jeremy and crew @ Brickmoon.

Brickmoon is amazing! My wife and I have used other architects and designers in the past and Brickmoon is a cut above at every turn. On top of their talent as great designers the team is warm and friendly and very responsive to all our inquiries... yes we can be a bit of a pain:) Pricing is very fair for top notch firm and then stay pretty much on track with the timelines.

We tried to use Brickmoon for our home renovation- and walked away feeling nothing but regret and discouraged. I am sure the experience for a brand new home design is better, but if you are trying to remodel your home- STAY AWAY! Total waste of money, and they try to run it as if you are doing a brand new home. You pay a huge retainer, and they tell you in the initial meeting that it will take at least 6 months to finalize drawings to go to permit. Those 2 things should have been red flags for us. But being our first renovation, and not knowing any better, it cost us a lot of money. Their communication is terrible, in fact I have yet to ever hear back from them. If I had any idea that a client was upset, I would reach out and try to show and prove myself, however, I only received complete silence. Thankfully, we have a good team going now that has picked up the pieces that Brickmoon left for us. I walked away paying the entire retainer and I have just 2 conceptual hand drawn drawing options to show for it, and the outside elevations of the original house. Let our mistake be a savings to you.

We are truly sorry that you feel this way. We truly wish that you would have given us a chance to sit down and review the concepts we created after we had prepared all of the existing field measurements and input the existing drawings into the computer. There is a lot of work that goes into drawing an existing home from scratch to have full plans and elevations so that you can communicate the scope of work to all parties with the new design work. We had a full set of existing as built drawings and had generated two initial design concepts which we were never given a chance to review with you. I think because we were not given a chance to explain what we had done there was a communication gap. I also just reached out to this home owner via phone and they had never received the computer generated files that we had prepared that we graciously gave them which is not standard practice. I had sent those to them and for some reason they did not receive them. I re-sent them to the home owner just now to show them that we indeed had sent them so that they were given all the work that had been performed. We are sorry you were not pleased and wish you the best on your project and wish we would have been given a chance to sit down with you. We have been in business for several years and work very hard to please all of our clients.
