There are no words that fully capture how grateful I am for this vet and the entire staff. My family dog, Fluffy, who had been with us for nearly 15 years, suddenly took a turn for the worse. One day he just couldn’t walk anymore… and we all felt that moment—the one no pet owner is ever truly prepared for, no matter how much time has passed. Fluffy wasn’t just a dog. He was family. He had been there for every chapter of life—through every up and down, through laughter and heartbreak. A small poodle mix with the heart of a Doberman—brave, loyal, and full of love. Letting go felt impossible. With all of that emotion, I walked into this vet for the first time. Nervous. Heavy. Vulnerable. But from the moment I stepped in, I felt something rare: care. Not just competence—but genuine care. The front desk team, the techs, everyone… I felt seen, and more importantly, I felt Fluffy was seen too. The doctor gently examined him and, with so much empathy and transparency, told me what I was afraid to hear—that Fluffy’s quality of life was very low, and it might be time to say goodbye. But he didn’t pressure me. He wasn’t cold. He met me where I was—with compassion and honesty. He helped me understand and gave me the space to process, to go home, and say goodbye to my little guy properly with the family. And then something I’ll never forget happened: as I was walking out, the doctor ran outside and handed me a small dose of medication for Fluffy. He said, “Try this. It may not help—but maybe it will. And if not, we’ll be here when you’re ready.” I took Fluffy home, gave him the medicine, and over the next few days… something miraculous happened. He started to get better. Day by day, he came back to life—walking, wagging his tail, even barking like his old self. It felt like I got my best friend back. I truly believe God gave me those extra few days with Fluffy, and I’m so thankful the doctor gave me the chance to have that moment. Because on the fourth day, peacefully and without pain, Fluffy passed in his sleep. I got to hold him, love him, and let him go on my terms—with peace. And that is a gift I’ll never be able to repay. To the doctor and the entire team—thank you. For your care, your compassion, your humanity. Thank you for treating Fluffy like more than a case or a number. Thank you for giving me those final moments. I will never forget what you did for us.

A waste of time. I recently acquired a senior cat and wanted him checked ASAP. I had questions that they dismissed which was really unfortunate since that was one of the main reasons I made an appointment. They cut my cat, and I understand accidents happen, but then I had to pay 35 dollars for the ointment which felt awful. I feel my cat didn't even get properly checked, especially since they didn't tell me his weight in person, and it isn't even on the paperwork. I am very disappointed.

Please call us or stop by, we want to make sure all of your concerns are resolved. There are some significant medical concerns uncovered at the visit and discussed with you that need attention.

I don’t even know where to begin. I owe Dr Diaz and everyone at briarwood my horses life. When I called Briarwood, I told them I had a complicated and difficult case with a horse, I was out of options, and didn’t know what to do. Dr Diaz took his time letting me know we aren’t out of options or time, and to keep choosing care. He took time to educate me, teach me to heal this severe of a wound, and give my horse everything he’s got. Dr Diaz went out of his way to not only help my horse but help me figure out the best course of action, taking into account both my personal attachment to the horse as well as considering the best most effective care. I wish I could fully articulate what this hospital and Dr Diaz have done for me. Beyond being one of the most skilled vets I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, the absolute care and kindness Dr Diaz shows his patients and owners is what will make me knock on Dr Diaz door the day he ever retires (sorry but I won’t ever let him either). Truly hats off to this entire hospital and thank you for everything you do.
