Amazing place! Food was delicious. We tried salmon, duck breast (which was the most tender I’ve ever tried), steak tartar, chocolate mousse, and pana cotta. Everything was incredible. The place is new and not busy yet, so it’s a very nice and calm atmosphere there with a modern renovation. The server was very pleasant, explained to us how duck should be cooked to be tender. Plus, the prices are lower than for similar restaurants. Great experience all together. Can’t recommend this enough!

I can only recommend this place. I had the rye bread and the Korean glazed salmon and it was to die for, so flavoursome! The salmon was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth like butter, the whole dish was exquisite and the rye bread was equally delicious.
The service was impeccable, the waiter was very attentive and for a lack of a better word absolutely lovely ! he made it all so enjoyable and it was a real pleasure to dine there. Thank you so much.
A new place opened early this year in the heart of Notting Hills, everything was simply perfect and fresh @botwa.nottinghill
Loved every dish we tried. Highly recommend it.
I do have 2 dishes plus the olives n cucumber salad I can live without:
Sticky crispy rice balls and the chocolate mousse
(Ps: I don’t eat cucumbers or olives) so nothing against the dish, it’s me lol

Fantastic dining experience! The food was excellent – I highly recommend the duck and cod. The shrimp pasta was decent but didn’t stand out as much. The atmosphere is lovely: calm, open view into the kitchen, and not at all chaotic. Service was warm and attentive, with genuinely helpful recommendations from the staff.
One suggestion: the restaurant deserves much more attention than it seems to get. The entrance isn’t very noticeable or inviting, which might turn people away before they discover the incredible quality inside. A small change to the exterior or signage could really help bring in the numbers this place deserves.

Very good food, delicate and interesting flavours, beautiful presentation. The baos were really tasty, the duck was cooked perfectly as you can see in the photos. Unlike many restaurants the food was not over salted which is a welcome change, especially in light of the subtle layers of flavours. Puddings were excellent too!

Food was tasty and beautifully presented, service was friendly and helpful. However food was overpriced for what it was. I went with a voucher for 50% off and felt a lot happier paying that than I would have done paying full price. An enjoyable experience but not one I’d be rushing to repeat.

Botwa is crammed on a small frontage at the west end of Westbourne Grove. It feels rather lost, but if you want a treasure hunt, the best find is the amazing food on offer with its glass fronted, white marbled interior. Smart, cool, clean and cute, Botwa presents itself with calm assurance and an extra ounce of exquisite panache which should set it apart for many years. It is described as Asuan-Fusion, but I would consider it more an intercontinental fusion of ideas, flavours and influences. Chef Jonas hails from Sweden, but his menu reaches across the world while ensuring dishes never stray far from fine dining presentation. We took the steak tartare and tuna tartare to start, the latter gorgeously succulent, while the beef was mixed with capers and spices for a piquant touch. The main courses of seafood pasta and duck breast were divine, portioned precisely and cooked with a perfection and skill one would expect in far pricier institutions. The duck was pink perfect. The Nero D'Avola wine accompanying had a rich smoky plumminess. Coffee and cointreau followed. Service was friendly and attentive; Francesca did us and Botwa proud with her approachable and unflappable demeanour. Botwa is brilliant. I hope these six months will become years and years. Thank you.
