Bought a Cage and I really wanted certain size, but the attendant convinced me to get a different one. I got it, paid almost $200 for it, didn’t like it and 3 days later called them to exchange and was refused. Very disappointed.

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Thank you for sharing your review!
I absolutely love this store. Their employees are great. However I don’t like that they don’t empower their employees to make common sense decisions on refunds. I purchased an item, around $200., and when I got it home realized I already had one. Dumb mistake on my part, I know. I never opened my purchase and kept the bag and receipt all intact, exactly as it was given to me. When I tried to return it, they wouldn’t even look at the item. “No exceptions” I was told. The employee even got a little emotional saying he could lose his job. I would never want that to happen and I relented.
My point is that I would much rather shop local, even if it’s more expensive because these folks do a great job, and I want these businesses to thrive. But to not empower your folks to make a common sense decision in this case is not good. I would have never even considered a return if the package was even torn much less used. I will now sell this on eBay probably taking a hit when they could have sold it as new.
Small businesses that don’t go above and beyond to take care of their customers will risk losing to online retailers every time.

Thank you for your feedback and support. The item you purchased is under a strict no-return policy due to its use and resealable packaging, which prevents us from knowing if it was worn. Apparel with tags and a receipt may be returned, but for items like this we encourage customers to get fitted in-store to ensure the right choice. Getting fitted in-store is our way of helping prevent situations like this. We appreciate your business and apologize for the inconvenience.
Went to LeatherWerks a few times for some retail therapy this past July, and I have to admit that it’s honestly one of the best stores in Wilton Manors due to the fact that it’s a safe space for people like myself who are trying to get out of their comfort zone while trying to be the best version of themselves in the LGBTQIA+ Community. Moreover, the staff (e.g. Paul and Ken) were very helpful and kind to me throughout my shopping experience. With that being said, I hope to come back again the next time I visit Wilton Manors at some point in the foreseeable future.😁🙌🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🛍️🖤💙🤍❤️🔥🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️💯

Retail therapy is essential, and we're thrilled you enjoyed your visit. We can't wait to welcome you back soon!
I have shopped here several times in the past and have always been treated with respect. I have told many people about the exceptional No. 6 head cleaner that is sold there. However, today was totally different. I stopped by the shop around 1p today, 27 Jun 25. There appeared to be only one employee working at this time. Before I could get in the shop, he was already asking if he could help me with anything. I told him that I wanted to browse before making a purchase. I was riding my bicycle so I had a backpack. I didn't notice any signs regarding carrying backpacks in the store. Perhaps I overlooked them. If signs are there, then I don't have any problems leaving my backpack at the checkout counter. I was the only other person in the shop besides the employee. I'm sorry that I didn't get his name and I can only describe him as a middle aged white guy with a beard, medium build. As I browsed, he approached me and wanted my backpack so he could place it behind the counter. I agree; but this just didn't sit well with me. I believe that he was profiling me as an African American man. I was interested in making a purchase but this interaction and his microaggression towards me caused me to decide not to spend my money there and condone this behavior. Perhaps this will make him think twice about this type of behavior in the future and consider the type of impression he is making.

LeatherWerks has an all are welcome policy which is posted by the entrance of the store. We also have clearly posted our no bags policy. We’ve added images of these signs to the photos on our business profile. We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience in the store.
Damn this place is amazing! The staff makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. They will answer any and all questions you have -- sime if the items for sale definitely need explanation --- hahaha. Whatever your looks, age, weight, they will treat you with respect and hospitality. Rumor has it that there are some days you can shop naked and receive a discount -- to promote body positivity. Great idea, yes? Go spend lors of $ there and support the community!
