I've become a bit of a wine snob, I'm afraid. It's partially the fault of Bonner Wine Partners, and partly the fault of my wife's family. Bonner Wine Partners, because by introducing me to high altitude Argentine Malbecs, now I can't drink any other red wines. They are just unacceptable to my palate. Likewise, until now, I refused to drink any white wines except those from Alsace, France. They are without a doubt the best whites in the world. HOWEVER, I decided to try the Tacana Torontes, trying to be open minded. I am overwhelmed. It is as good as any Alsatian white I have ever had. My wife, who was born and raised in Alsace tasted it and immediately said, "it tastes like flowers." Well done! What a tremendous success, to produce a white in Argentina that rivals the best of Alsace.

I have been collecting wines for more than 25 years (not for investment, but for drinking pleasure purposes). But I never paid much attention to Malbec. It seemed like one of those "pleasant" wines that did not require attention while drinking. But then I read about BPWP's offering from high altitudes in Argentina and I was intrigued. What I tasted changed my thinking about Malbec - I was surprised by robustness and structure of these wines. Some of them grab you and make you think about what you drink. Thank you for new and unexpected experience.
