Wir haben das Discover Scuba Dive und das Open Water bei den Bocas Pirates gemacht. Die familiäre und gute Stimmung hat uns super gefallen und wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt! Die Kurse waren sehr professionell und wir fühlten uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt sicher! Die Jungs und Mädels wissen was sie machen! Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen es wärmstens weiter!

Can’t recommend this place enough 💕 I wasnt sure who to go with at first to get my padi open water cert.- however I’m soo glad I came here 🫶. The owner Alex and his team are super professional and make sure safety is top priority. Thankfully the groups are a bit smaller which means more one on one time w personalized support. Super grateful! I felt very taken care of by my instructor Kevin and that Alex went over and above my expectations to make sure I was happy. 🌸💕 can’t wait to come back for another amazing time. Ps. After you finish your certification I recommend doing a night dive with them: it’s one of my favorite memories, super unique and otherworldly 💫

I chose Bocas Pirates for my first diving. They patiently explained everything and I took my first breaths underwater with Cris. I loved it. He was very friendly and we saw a ton of beautiful corals, weird fish of all kinds, nurse sharks, a shipwreck, a sea horse and more. Definitely recommend
Nous avons plongé avec Alex et Esme (deux jours de suite). L’endroit est charmant et accueillant. De belles discussions avant et après les plongées, le personnel est présent pendant la préparation.
La visibilité sous l’eau était moyenne, il y avait beaucoup de particules dans l’eau mais nous avons tout de même vu une belle variété de poissons et épaves :)

Excellente impression de Bocas Dive Pirates center.
Contact Internet tres agreable (merci Vivi) , accueil physique tres agreable (a nouveau merci Vivi) , Materiel adequat et adapté aux besoins et a ma morphologie.
je passe rapidement sur la satisfaction des sites vus, et j'insiste sur la qualité des "petites mains" qui nous pilotent, nous aident à capeler, decapeler, remonter sur le bateau, et a faire tout le "pénible". (transport bouteille etc)
Un grand merci au guide de palanquée dont j'ai mal compris le prénom ("Elwin"??), Jeune femme spécialiste des éponges (elle se reconnaitra) , qui a assuré, avec une franche bonne humeur, et decontraction, la sécurité de la plongée, et qui s'est soucié des détails qui peuvent changer tout une plongée. (par ex adaptation du lestage, et modifications de quelques reglages imparfaits)
Certains détails trahissent sa grande compétence, et en matiere d'encadrement de plongée, et en matiere de biologie marine.
Je regrette de n'avoir pas pu venir plusieurs jours.
un détail amusant, révélateur de l'esprit de l'endroit, c'est quand même la premiere fois qu'on me propose, et une douche (franchement) chaude une fois rentré, et.... une serviette chaude !!!

We dove with Anna yesterday at Pandora and Coral Gardens. Anna was very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe and comfortable. I did my open water cert 7 or 8 years ago and have had several back to back years without diving, so there were definitely some things I had forgotten and Anna was quick to point these out after the dive. She noticed that I was actually inflating my BCD upon final ascent instead of deflating and swimming up manually, which could be very dangerous on deeper dives. My quick ascents had been mentioned on earlier dives this year in other locations (I even missed a safety stop once), and I didn’t know why that was happening, and no one offered solutions. I’m glad that she flagged this for me. She also played around with my dive weights to help with my buoyancy. We ended up being too light towards the end of the dive, but it was still very helpful because I now know I had been weighted way too heavy for some other past dives and have a better idea of how many to use.
The dives were also the longest offered on the island, with both being nearly 1 hr. Two friendly pups joined us on the boat and we also were provided snacks between dives. Alex wasn’t our instructor, but he was on the boat with us and we joined up with his group for the second half of one of the dives. He let us hold onto him during critter sightings so we didn’t have to worry so much about our buoyancy as beginner divers. His vibes were awesome and you can tell that he loves what he does.
We were torn between shops beforehand, but are glad that we chose to go with Pirates! They also offer kayaks for use to people who book dives, take GoPro footage, and 15% off the cafe.
They have a coral restoration program too that people can join for shorter periods of time, unlike a lot of other programs that require you to do them during job transitions or periods of unemployment. Check them out!

Ich habe bei den den Bocas Pirates den Open Water Dive Kurs gemacht. Das Team ist super, alle sind gut drauf. Alex ist ein sehr guter Lehrer, der sich die Zeit für einen nimmt. Hatten noch mehrere FunDives und haben jede Menge Wassertiere entdeckt und Wracks erkunden können. Die Gruppen sind klein, daher kann eine gute Betreuung stattfinden.

I had a lovely time at the Bocas Pirates Dive Center. I only had one day on the island (sadly), and reached out to a number of shops. Most were not helpful or just seemed to want my money. But the Bocas Pirates chatted with me, answered my questions (too many frankly), and felt warm and inviting. The weather was a little rocky and the visibility wasn't great, but the dive master worked extra hard to make it a lovely afternoon. My camera died and she later sent me a bunch of shots she took of me. She really didn't have to do that. It's a friendly family-like group that was exactly what I needed. I wish I could have hung out for a week.
Scuba Diving with Bocas Pirates is a wonderful and relaxed experience! You‘ll immediately feel comfortable. The whole team is experienced, friendly and everybody is listening to your personal needs.
After we haven‘t been diving for a while, we did a Refresher course combined with 2 Fundives on the first day. Anna took a lot of time for us to explain everything relaxed and in detail and we were back in the game in no time! On the second day, we’ve had another 2 great Fundives with Esme. Both really know what they‘re doing and were showing us a lot of great animals and things under water!
