Was welcomed here for my birthday, the food was top tier and beautifully displayed with artistic flare, the environment was relaxing and aesthetically pleasing with a beautiful view into the kitchen watching the magic happen!
I would recommend this place for all who want the ambiance along with an impressive meal.
Took my Mum here for her 75th birthday. It was close to the theatre and the perfect place for a meal. The food was amazing, the service was awesome, and the ambiance was perfect! It was the perfect place for a pre theatre meal and cocktail and we will definitely be back for more special occasions. 👏🏼

We dined at Blu Ristorante in Toronto last night, and it was truly a memorable experience overall. The food was absolutely fantastic, every bite was bursting with flavour. The ambiance was stunning; the entire restaurant had this beautiful, vibrant energy, enhanced by live music that made the night so special. Our table was right next to the kitchen, which gave us a delightful view of the culinary action.
That said, I do feel a bit let down by the service. While nobody was rude, the staff seemed a bit inattentive. We had to prompt them for details and recommendations, and even though we mentioned it was a birthday celebration, there was no special recognition, no candle, no little extra touch that you expect at a high-end restaurant. It is certainly not a cheap place to dine, we had a group of six and spent several hundred dollars, it was a bit of a missed opportunity. Still, I’d love to come back for the food and atmosphere, but I hope the service can match the excellence of the kitchen next time.
Update: The owner reached out to me personally very quickly after our visit to apologize and make things right, which I really appreciated. It says a lot about how much they care about their guests and their reputation. I’m looking forward to giving Blu another try in the future.

The service at this restaurant is fantastic. The Classic Cavatelli Bolognese was delicious, and the chicken dish was just as good. The cocktails we ordered were also excellent.
The only downside is that the prices are a bit on the high side for this type of restaurant, especially the desserts.

Worst service. They treat customers based on how much they order. We wanted to taste one item first then order second. But the waiter kept insisting is this only order.. judgingly. And when said it was my wife's birthday and I have request, instead of saying atleast nice, he was like is this only order. Felt so judgemental kind of environment bcoz of his way of treating.
Best thing was the piano player.Her music helped to cope up with that experience

We enjoyed the bread and olive oil alone! For drinks we had the berry margarita which was fruity exactly what we were looking for. Overall we had a great experience with some of the party ordering the tasting menu and others ordered individual meals. Our favourites were the arugula salad, grilled calamari and ravioli. The tiramisu was impeachable!
Quick, friendly and efficient service and delicious Italian dishes in a chic environment, what more could you want?
Special Pre Matinee Lunch Treat
My wife and I were downtown heading to a Roy Thompson Hall show, Beatles Revolution with TSO, which was excellent.
We found the BLU restaurant on King Street directly across the street from the theatre.
We ordered the fixed price menu for $34 each and added a couple of Peroni Zeros.
The menu had many interesting items to select from with added cost for special additions.
I ordered the calamari for appetizer and grilled chicken with gem lettuce Caesar salad. See pics.
My wife ordered Caesar salad and a salmon noodle dish.
Portions were a la carte size so we could have stopped after the appetizers....but we are glad we didn't.
Excellent food, great attentive service from Nasir, perfect location and good value!
We didn't need much dinner later!
Overall: 4.2/5 - very impressed with this place. Came here for a Winterlicious and it was better than expected for a decent price. I’d come back.

Buratta salad 3.5/5 - I had a bit higher of expectations for this but it wasn’t bad. Just not the best buratta I’ve had and didn’t feel like there was much of it
Salmon - 4/5 - the salmon was a nice large piece, filling, and really tasty! I enjoyed my meal.
Shrimp risotto (not pictured) - 4.2/5 - this was really tasty and something I’d come back for. Enjoyed every bite; was subtle but flavourful.
Pistachio tiramisu - 4.5/5 - this was excellent. So fluffy and light but the flavour was amazing. I would come here to get this again
Ambiance - 5/5 - again, for the price, this place was really good and the ambiance was so upscale
Service - 5/5 - some of the most high quality service.. stuff you’d get at the most fine dining restaurant.
I’d recommend this to friends and family for the overall value.
I had booked at Blu Ristorante for a retirement party for an executive for approximately 120 people.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The food and service was excellent. The staff were very professional and a pleasure to deal with.
Management and staff made the evening a truly memorable experience.
I will definitely be booking again when the opportunity comes up.
The food was all good but nothing exceptional for the price.

5 Star Evening at Blu Ristorante. Relaxed atmosphere; friendly, informed, attentive service and Fantastic food. Every dish we had, was rave reviews at the table. Octopus, calamari, carpaccio, linguini, salads, dessert, cappuccino…. And a lovely bottle of wine! We’ll be back. Thanks Blu Crew!
