I am very thankful to have found a primary care doctor who has good availability and can offer a variety of services. I’ve always liked the idea of direct access for ease and cost and I’m glad to have the chance to access that now. Switching to a new doctor can be a daunting proposition, but Dr Lofley made that easy and I appreciate the way he listens and works with me to achieve what I need.

I think the success of Dr. Lofley is due to his genuine care of his patients. He actively listens, which is not a common trait of medical doctors. I needed an MRI for my knee and within 30 min of leaving his office I received a text from radiology to schedule my appointment. My daughter had to wait 2 months for a rather urgent MRI because she is in the insurance system. Thank goodness I was referred to Dr.Lofley!!! I’m grateful to have him.

I’ve spent years searching for a doctor who would actually listen, and for so long I was either dismissed or given medications I didn’t need. Dr. Lofley has been a total game changer. He really listens, takes the time to get to the root cause of your issues, and never pushes anything on you. His staff is just as kind and welcoming, they respond fast to any questions or concerns and for a private practice, the monthly membership is completely worth it and affordable, your health really is priceless. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that I thought would disable me forever, but with Dr. Lofley’s help I’ve been able to keep it under control and I honestly feel better than I have in years. Dr. Lofley is very down to earth, trust worthy doctor. He actually listens to what you have to say and how you feel without any prejudgements, talks to you and not at you, answers texts and calls quickly, and will discuss treatment options with you and not just tell you what to do. I moved here from another state a little over 2 years ago and was terrified I wouldn't be able to find another doctor that I trusted and that would listen to me. From my 1st appointment with Dr. Lofley I have felt comfortable and he is easy to talk to. He has never dismissed my comments or concerns on any of my health issues. 2025 update. I’m still so grateful to have Dr. Lofley helping me with my healthcare needs. I’m much better off now than where I was when I started. His continuous knowledge and support has been a blessing. The very rare times I needed to see a specialist, his referrals have sent me to amazing people (Doctors) who are just as kind and committed to helping you as he is.
I can’t refer Dr. Lofley enough. I hope you at least have a consolation with him to see how he can contribute to your healthcare needs.

I'm reluctant to write this review. But with today's economy, I want to share another option to try if you find yourself needing a new Primary care provider. Many people can't afford regular health care right now, my hope is that they learn about Blue Ocean Family Medicine “Dr. Lofley” and his life goal for affordable care through his membership plan.
Why am I reluctant to write this review?
This Doctor is like a "hole in the wall" Dr. office that only a select few know about and you don't want the public to know about. Its that nice here. It's quiet. The cost is so affordable. And best yet, he is so sincere! He is so down to earth. He blocks more than enough time to hear your history and your goals. You're not schedule in to wait in a room for 45 minutes past your appt time to see him. I come into the lobby and within a few minutes he takes you back to take care of you.
I first found Blue Ocean Family Medicine while I was looking for a new Primary care provider in February. I called initially to see if they were taking new patients with my insurance. When Dr. Lofley answered the phone, I was taken back. I'm so used to the multi layers of personnel to reach the doctor that I was surprised to be directly talking to him. Within those few minutes of talking with Dr. Lofley, I took a mental note to think about his membership plan while I tried other Doctors that took my insurance.
I was always used to using my health insurance. But lately, with my old Dr. They were billing me for everything. I ended spending out of pocket close to $200 a month with my INS! After seeing a new Nurse Practitioner and being charged for $300 for talking with him for 45 minutes, All I got was referrals to see three other different Doctors for each one of my issues. It was a total waste of my time along with a huge bill. After this experience I went back to my mental note.
I wanted to learn more about Dr. Lofley. I called back and scheduled a consultation to see if he was comfortable with my maintenance drugs and a chronic issue I have. Once we had that talk, I had no hesitation to sign up for his services. Throughout the few months I've been with his practice. Dr. Lofley is down to earth and open minded. Your health is so paramount to him. I was with my old Dr. for over a decade with my chronic issue. Out of all the options with them It was Dr. Lofley's suggestion to try a different route and the thought of it really gave me new hope. I'm excited.
His office is quiet, He doesn't over book. I'm not there feeling I'm in line at a postal office with a 15 people to see one Doctor. Im the only one there. Again, I'm so reluctant to write this review. It's this nice here.
I hoping this review helps you to know there are options for long term affordable care with an amazing Doctor to help you reach your goals on being healthier.
