Montgomery County inspectors recommended this company to us when another contractor kept messing up the job.
Blue collar scholars stepped in and finished our addition as planned by a separate architect. They even helped get some of the money back I paid the first contractor!

Super smooth process renovating our backyard. Their trucks and signs are everywhere in our neighborhood, and I can see why. First class, communication, design, project management, and execution of the job. We have a gorgeous stone patio with a sitting wall and a brand new cedar fence. Thanks to this outfit. Will be using their services in the future as well.
Received reasonable patio and drainage system estimates from this company and agreed to move forward. Half way through the job, the entire team has been great to work with. Communication has been excellent and the workers on the ground are very nice and respectful.
The hardest thing to do nowadays is find people who are actually good at what they do. People who care, spend attention on what matters and follow through on what they say they are going to do. This is especially true in the contracting world.
I cannot give enough of a glowing recommendation throughout the entire design and remodeling process that blue collar scholars provided.
They showed up on time for the estimate, provided multiple options, gave us multiple designs and material selections for our home addition in Maryland.
We got three quotes, however, this company’s professionalism and attention to detail is what sold us. Working with their architect Sam was also an incredible experience in itself.
When shovels finally broke around three months later, the foundation team, the framing team and the roofing team did a great job, keeping everything clean as we were still living in the house.
We finally had to move out for two months as they opened up the original part of the house and connected it to the addition and completed all of the finish finishes.
There is now a gorgeous, open kitchen, a brand, new master suite, an amazing Jacuzzi, a custom sauna, beautiful, big windows, and just incredible tile work throughout the new bathrooms we have.
Their landscaping team did a phenomenal job completely over hauling our backyard. We now have privacy and a lot more space for our family.

Awful business. Quoted one price and charged another. Was to be a $200 job and received that bill and also received an over $1000 bill. Now claiming $1000. Totally unethical. Horrible way to treat senior citizens.
Hey Lorraine! Our contract states very clearly, and is explained over the phone that our minimum is $200. We don't' know how much snow and ice there will be, and we bill by the hour. This specific case was one of the worst snow storms in many, many years with feet of snow and inches of ice. This is why we had to send out two invoices for the work completed. We had over 2k phone calls for snow services during this time, and in many cases were the only company answering calls and serving those in need. We regret that your experience was unsatisfactory, however we do and have done everything in our power to clearly state the terms of our service.

This business terrible. Was quoted $200 for a snow removal job. Then they changed the amount to over $1000 and received another invoice for $200. Totally unethical. They employ deviois and unethical tactics. They were only tasked with shoveling my driveway (short) and clearing a small area around mailbox. It is only a 1/4 lot in total. This is a very sleazy business. It is horrible to quote one amount and charge another. Awful Busines Do Not Use Them.

We worked with Sam and team to build a deck in the dog ear space between our rowhouse in Logan Circle and the one next to us. We LOVE it. It is basically a three season room addition to our house. With sky lights and ceiling fans, it's easy to stay outside comfortably (aka mosquito free!) during the warmer months. They helped us make the most of the limited space and were great with communication. I would definitely use them again.

The crew who worked at my house on my weather-damaged back porch did top-tier excellent work, and were a pleasure to have on site. They were very careful in keeping my cats inside, which is a major factor for me in hiring contractors. I would like to hire them again.

Beautiful tile, cabinet and countertop work. They truly have craftsmen on their team! Our interior renovation was not a huge job like some of their others, but we selected very high-end finishes and they executed on the work perfectly. Communication was great and they were extremely responsive.

Drainage team solved all our water problems. We had water coming through our walls in the back right side of our basement.
Blue collar scholars waterproofed that entire wall section, re-graded the entire landscape area, buried the downspout, led it to the front yard, and created a French drain to catch the water coming from my neighbor’s property.
The team was able to work with and around an expensive stone patio as part of the job is taking up a piece of it and replacing it.
