The vets at Blakehurst Vet are always wonderful! So much care is taken and my most recent visit was wonderful! My Bunny Lala had never been so calm at the vet before and they also helped me clip her nails after mentioning I struggle at home to do it!
Been going to them since we moved to the area and have been so happy.

I went for a holiday for two weeks and entrusted my beautiful cat at Blakehurst Vet. I appreciate all the updates and photos. Also, they always monitor if my cat is eating, peeing, pooing etc. It's my first time to leave my cat, and it's scary for me to leave her to someone whom she doesn't know or met, but the staff made it seamless. My cat was spoiled with love and care while I was away. Thank you for ensuring that my cat's wellbeing is a priority. Special thanks to Corey who is very hands-on and the whole staff.

I moved to the area couple of years ago and was fortunate to find a wonderful vet for our Labrador, Ollie. Vet Hamish is incredibly professional and kind, making every visit a pleasant experience. Hamish and the team have been the sole carers and supporters through the lives of all of our fur babies since the late 1990’s! They supported us incredibly, including during the last moments of their precious lives! I can’t recommend this vet highly enough! Dr Hamish Bathgate and his team at Blakehurst Vet have been taking excellent care of our cat, Felix since 2008. Testament to the extremely high standard of veterinarian care received, Felix is 18 years of age and Dr Hamish has advised us recently that Felix is his third oldest feline client. Dr Hamish can’t talk to the animals like Dr Dolittle but comes very close with his knowledge and expertise on cats when treating Felix. Our cat enjoys seeing Dr Hamish. When Blakehurst Vet has been closed Felix doesn’t like seeing vets at other practices and reacts by hissing, fluffing up and carrying on going berserk. He was even barred from a vet at Peakhurst for attacking staff members. Felix was one of the first client’s at the palatial animal accomodation centre, The Hotel For Cats which we highly recommend. We believe taking our pet to Blakehurst Vet over many years has greatly attributed to our cat, Felix health, well being and longetivity. Great work Dr Hamish and your team at Blakehurst Vet. You guys do a superb and thorough job giving excellent care and looking after our cat.

We’re so grateful for the amazing team at Blakehurst Vet. Our toy poodle, Travis, always receives such gentle and caring treatment here. We mostly see Vet Catherine, who is incredibly kind and thorough, she always takes the time to explain everything and makes sure Travis is comfortable. Anytime I’ve had a concern, they’ve managed to fit us in so promptly, which I really appreciate. The reception staff are also so lovely and welcoming every time we visit.
