Wow wow !! what an incredible experience at Bijou Boutique! From the moment I booked, Kerensa went above and beyond to help me find my dream wedding dress. She even sourced options at the last minute from Sassi Holford Designer and made sure my closest loved ones could be there, which meant so much.

From the moment we arrived at Bijou, Kerensa made me feel completely at home. It was clear she had taken so much time and care before my appointment even started. She had reviewed everything I’d shared, ordered in specific items just for me, and researched both how I wanted to feel on the day and my wedding venue. That level of thought and attention is so rare, and it made all the difference.
My appointment itself was everything I could have hoped for: calm, fun, relaxed and incredibly special. We had bubbles, tried on so many beautiful dresses, narrowed them down to my favourites, and then styled them in different ways with veils and accessories to make sure the final choice was absolutely perfect. We talked through alterations and how the dress would work with me throughout every part of my wedding day. Nothing was rushed, and nothing was overlooked.
One of the most magical parts of the experience is having the whole boutique to yourself. It creates such an intimate, unhurried atmosphere and makes you feel truly cared for. Kerensa takes the time to really get to know you, which makes the experience feel so personal.
This isn’t a typical bridal appointment where you’re handed random dresses to try on. The entire experience is thoughtfully tailored around you, and that’s what makes Bijou so special.

Kerensa truly went above and beyond to make all my wedding dress dreams come true. I tried on several beautiful gowns in her boutique, and although each had elements I loved, none were quite 𝘵𝘩𝘦 one. Kerensa reached out to the designer to see if a bespoke dress could be created, incorporating all of the details that I loved on other dresses. I received a gorgeous sketch, and when the finished gown arrived, it was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have hoped for anything better, and I felt so beautiful and elegant on my wedding day.
I also purchased all of my bridesmaids’ dresses from the boutique, and they looked stunning. I had a champagne colour in mind and when this didn’t appear to be an option, Kerensa quickly contacted the designer and arranged everything so we could have the colour I envisioned. The dresses felt really high quality and were incredibly flattering.

I've had the best experience at Bijou Bridal Boutique! From the start Kerensa's communication was friendly and reassuring. The level of attention to detail once we attended the appointment was insanely high, making the entire experience so so wonderful. Having been to other shops, including outlet shops, absolutely nothing came close to this experience, it was no surprise I found the most gorgeous dress which I cannot wait to see again!!
If you're having doubts or haven't had the best experiences in the past with other shops, do. not. even. hesitate. and go here, so so worth it!

I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting Bijou Bridal Boutique, and while I didn’t end up choosing my dress there, the experience was nothing short of first class. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and completely at ease. The boutique itself is elegant and intimate, the perfect setting to try on bridal gowns — but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the owner.
She is nothing less than wonderful — warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Her passion for what she does shines through in every interaction. She listened attentively, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made me feel like I was the only bride in the world. Being in her company was such a joy — it felt like spending time with a dear friend who just happens to have impeccable taste and a deep understanding of bridal fashion.
Each dress I tried on was stunning, carefully curated, and beautifully presented. Although I ultimately said yes to a dress elsewhere, my time at Bijou was a truly special part of my wedding journey — one I will always treasure.
I sincerely hope I have a reason to return one day, maybe when (and if!) my own children get married. I can't imagine a more lovely place to begin such an important chapter. Thank you for making the experience so beautiful — it will stay with me forever.

I had such a fun time choosing a dress with Kerensa. She was very accommodating and made the whole experience really relaxing and specail! I had a fabulous afternoon at a designer event here trying on wedding shoes, Kerensa was so welcoming and accommodating even though I had already found my dress from another boutique. I would definitely recommend a visit here even just for shoes, bridesmaids dresses or accessories!

Unfortunately I had a very negative experience at Bijou Bridal and I feel it is important to share as I wouldn’t want any bride-to-be to experience what I did.
My initial consultation with Kerenza was wonderful. I booked a private appointment to try on a Sassi Holford dress I had seen online and took my mum and sister with me. Kerenza was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience feel incredibly special and unhurried. The Sassi Holford dress was my dream dress, and Kerenza’s service was excellent. Following Kerenza’s advice, I purchased the dress in the next size up, as the sample was slightly too small around the waist.
After the 8-9 months wait, I was excited to see my dress again but at the first fitting, something immediately felt off. While the dress was predictably too large around the waist and bodice, the sleeves and sleeve holes were inexplicably tight and uncomfortable—a stark contrast to the sleeves on the sample dress, which fitted perfectly. How can a bigger dress have smaller, tighter sleeves? This made no sense to me. When I raised my concerns, Kerenza insisted the dress was made perfectly and that there was no design error, despite the obvious difference. All follow up appointments were difficult and emotionally upsetting, as my family and I tried to explain our concerns, even providing photos of how the sample had fit compared to this new dress. Kerenza maintained that the dress was flawless and only needed alterations, but the sleeves lacked sufficient fabric for alteration, suggesting a manufacturing fault. Despite my attempts to clarify the issue, I was repeatedly told that there was no problem with the dress, causing me to dread further appointments and fear that the dress would not be ready in time for my wedding. I felt unheard, uncared for and disregarded. The initial impeccable customer service from Kerenza vanished and she said some really hurtful and unfair comments about my mum in our email exchanges, which only heightened the emotional stress of the situation. Out of desperation, I contacted Sassi Holford but was referred back to Kerenza, as the responsibility lay with Bijou Bridal. Eventually (and I guess because Sassi Holford contacted Bijou Bridal), Kerenza agreed to purchase new sleeves for the dress. While I am grateful for this resolution, our trust in her service was irreparably damaged. Kerenza’s seamstress had begun altering the dress without taking measurements, making it too small around the waist and causing a crease in the silk bodice. Kerenza then informed us that the seamstress would be unavailable to work on the dress for three weeks due to surgery.
With my dress now sleeveless and in a worse condition than before, I lost all confidence in their ability to repair it in time for my wedding which was fast approaching. Given the consistently unpleasant nature of our appointments, we decided to take the dress elsewhere for alterations. Fortunately, another seamstress understood the urgency of the situation and managed to restore the dress to a near-perfect state, although the crease made by Kerenza’s seamstress could not be fully removed. But at least I had a dress in time for my wedding day.
To this day, I don’t understand why the sleeves were as they were, leading me to conclude that either the dress was made incorrectly or the sample I tried was an inaccurate representation of the dress’s true fit. It’s upsetting and disappointing that our experience at Bijou Bridal ended the way it did. Selecting a wedding dress should be a joyful and exciting experience; instead, the disregard for our concerns and the manner in which my family and I were treated made the whole experience traumatic. I hope my experience sheds light on the importance of attentive, kind and responsive customer service in the bridal industry as such a lack of customer care is unacceptable, especially considering the importance and expense of the purchase.

I was very disappointed to receive this negative review nearly a year after the wedding, especially after your mum had emailed me in May 2024 to inform me that you would be filing a formal complaint, not taking this very public route. These are the main points:
Personal Service: Even before you said yes to your Sassi Holford dress, I made sure you felt incredibly special with my personal one to one service. I kept you updated at every stage & included all the special touches as part of my overall customer service journey, just as I do for all my brides.
Dress Order: I ordered your dress in the correct size according to your largest measurements, which is industry standard, with alterations planned to perfect the fit. You approved the size I ordered for you & signed the order confirmation. I assured you that your dress was ordered & made to the required size & I also received confirmation from SH about the size being correct.
Sleeve Issue: At the 1st fitting, it became clear that the sleeves weren’t as loose as you had expected them to be. I contacted SH to confirm the dress size & make sure everything was made correctly & they confirmed that the dress specifications were correct for the size ordered. As a solution, I ordered a larger size set of sleeves, at no extra cost to you, two sizes larger based on your arm measurements taken by my seamstress at the first fitting. The sleeve issue was not a manufacturing fault but might have been due to changes in your body (e.g., muscle growth from swimming). I couldn’t easily suggest this as the reason because your mother & sister were horrified at the suggestion of adding bust cups to the bodice to get a more adequate fit. This is when the atmosphere started to change.
Behaviour: At the 1st fitting it became very difficult when you wouldn’t trust the advice given on the alterations & I was verbally attacked by your mum & sister in front of my seamstress. Despite our best efforts to resolve this you were not open to our suggestions & continuously shouted making personal attacks towards me, causing a very unpleasant atmosphere. Throughout I remained professional & only tried to calm the situation by assuring you of our best intentions. In the end I kept quiet. This behaviour from your family alerted the owner of the restaurant next door and he came to check I was ok once you left. As for email exchanges, the only word that I described your behaviour in an email to your mum was “inexcusable” and she apologised the next day in a reply. You even complained about my seamstress having to go into hospital for a procedure, which would not have affected the completion of your dress.
Professionalism & Empathy: I remained dignified & professional, despite being insulted. I kept offering empathy & support, as shown in my email exchanges with your mum. My seamstress & I suggested the necessary alterations to make the dress perfect, but you and your family rejected these efforts. From the outset, my seamstress & I accommodated you for fittings in out of hours to allow more time for getting the dress perfected.
Collection: After just two fittings, your mum decided to take the dress & new sleeves to be altered by a theatre group, citing their experience in wedding dresses. This decision was made despite the ample time left for alterations to be completed by my seamstress. I remained professional and amicable when your mum & dad collected the dress.
Final Remarks: I believe your review is dishonest & fails to acknowledge your family’s role in the situation. Even under the circumstances I still sent you a specially made Wedding day card! The situation was difficult, but your family’s unreasonable behaviour made it clear that it was never going to be resolved amicably.
Conclusion: I’ve always strived to act professionally despite your family’s actions & I attempted to resolve the issue. I believe your review is not an honest reflection of what occurred & just a vindictive response a year later.

I had such a wonderful experience at Bijou Bridal with Kerensa. I went in knowing which two dresses I wanted to try on and they were there waiting for me in the fitting room when I arrived. I took my mum and my sister in with me and we were made to feel so welcome by Kerensa.We had a cup of tea and then the fun began, I tried both on and knew right away which one was for me. I came back a week later with my mum to confirm and I was able to try the dress in again and knew it was the one. The whole experience was just perfect. Really relaxed and was able to try on a few vails and talked through what would work well with my dress. I would highly recommend Bijou Bridal Boutique and thank you Kerensa.

I found this lovely boutique with a range of good designers online and emailed to book an appointment...at very short notice. I had an immediate reply from Kerenza who booked us in and reassurred us that we still had plenty of time to find a wedding dress. It was easy to find with parking nearby in a lovely village. Kerenza was absolutely lovely, spending time discussing the sort of styles my daughter liked. She then tried on lots of dresses, Kerenza was very helpful with suggestions of alterations which could be made, accessories which could be added etc. There was no pressure.
We returned a week later to review 2 dresses we liked and we discussed further the possibility of some minor alterations to design of the favourite. Kerenza had confirmed these with the designer subsequent to our first visit.
Kerenza made the whole experience delightful, fun and very personal with gifts before and after purchase and excellent communication. We're looking forward to seeing the dress in the the spring for fittings and I'm confident it will be perfect.

My sister had bought her wedding dress from Bijou when she got married, and she had such a wonderful experience that I knew I had to go there when it was time to find my dress! I had a wonderful consultation with Karensa the other week. Bijou has a great selection of high quality, timeless and elegant dresses and there were a number of dresses I could easily have chosen. Karensa quickly made me feel at ease with her warmth and patience and her follow up communication was kind and not pushy.
