Superb coaching from Coach Tan Guang Jun at Beyond Basketball I trained with Coach Tan Guang Jun at Beyond Basketball, and it was one of the most useful investments I have made in my game. My ball handling, finishing, and shooting all improved noticeably under his guidance. What set his coaching apart was his attention to nuance. He did not just run drills and move on. He explained the reasoning behind each adjustment, such as how my footwork affected my balance on a finish, or how small changes in hand position and follow-through affected my shooting consistency. Those details made my fundamentals far more reliable, and I now understand why certain techniques work, which helps me correct my own mistakes between sessions. His feedback was direct and specific, and he was patient when I struggled with a new movement. He balanced technical correction with encouragement, so I always left a session knowing exactly what to work on next. He gave detailed assignments outside training to improve my ball handling so my handling is on a string, As a result of Coach Guang Jun's coaching, my basketball skills improvement was definitely visible in the 5v5 full court games that I participated in. I would recommend Beyond Basketball and Coach Tan Guang Jun to anyone serious about taking their basketball to an elite level. If you are willing to put in the work, his coaching gives you the knowledge and structure to make real, measurable progress.

Beyond Basketball has made a remarkable difference for my son. Since starting one-on-one coaching with Coach SJ, he’s gained confidence in clutch situations and improved his shooting significantly. My Son has regained his love for the game of basketball after his time with Coach Sj. What is clear is that Beyond Basketball takes a holistic approach to coaching and set clear training paths to hone the skills. Coach SJ explains the intent behind the training so that my Son understands how he can apply his skills. We’ve seen his skills grow both privately and publicly, and the coach’s dedication is truly impressive. Highly recommend! Thank you coach SJ!!

My 5-year-old boy joined the 3-day camp and he couldn’t stop talking about it even after the camp ended! 😊 The coaches were very patient with the younger kids, who were all very active and energetic. Besides the drills and techniques, I also really appreciate that they teach the kids discipline, responsibility and consequences, which I think are important values to learn from a young age. Overall, a really positive experience for my son. He had lots of fun and enjoyed himself throughout the camp. Highly recommended!

We joined three wonderful basketball group classes during our summer with Coach Guang Jun and Coach Wee. The kids were taught fundamental body movements, dribbling, passing and shooting through engaging activities. What I liked best was that they encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline. Our classes were at Jalan Riang Park and the court was nicely shaded in the heat. The other children and their families were very lovely as well. Strongly recommend them.

A wonderful team who is passionate and dedicated. My child looks forward to his weekly lessons and truly enjoys every session. I have seen him grow not only in his basketball skills, but also in his character — learning patience, perseverance, and discipline. I believe this is more than just basketball training. It is a wonderful opportunity for him to grow into a better person, guided by great coaches who genuinely care about the children.

Beyond Basketball Academy really helped my son enjoy basketball more. The coaches are very friendly and cheerful, and they sure have a way with the kids. Coach Lee and coach Jaden taught the kids with much patience and fun. My son was able to pick up a lot of basketball techniques and improve his game due to the coaching from the academy.

My son is currently in P5 competitive basketball team. He loves the sport, but he has not been confident in his abilities. During this school June holiday, I signed him up for one-to-one sessions with Beyond Basketball. He got to learn from 2 young and passionate coaches Wee Yong and Wai Xin. They imparted him many skills, were patient in guiding him and answering his questions about basketball. Just after 4 sessions, I could see that both his skills and confidence improved greatly. Thank you, Coach Wee Yong and Coach Wai Xin!

Tried a couple other schools and lessons before we got introduced to Coach Lee. My son truly enjoyed the lessons. I felt that the coach was always attentive to each kid even though it was a group lesson, firm but fun. Parents got an update daily after each lesson. Very professional and detailed. Highly recommend sending your child here

Thank you coach Wee Yong and coach Guang Jun. Holiday camp by Beyond Basketball is filled with positive vibes and more importantly, we received many great takeaways for my kids. We like how it is structured, the flow of program and also concrete actionable tips and practice on how to play the game well and how to play it right. The coaches are also firm and clear on the rules of the games. We previously attended another basketball holiday camp but there were not as many takeaways and overall, it pales in comparison. The coaches here are intentional in their coaching and they have a way of delivering the key messages well and right on point. Able to engage effectively with young kids, coaching them beyond basketball on several occasions, making it filled with lots of fun with a high level of energy, yet still able to capture their attention and get the kids to focus in working on their techniques and skill sets! Thank you!

Beyond Basketball was a great experience for our son, as his first exposure to the sport. Coach Wee Yong catered his style accordingly and was very encouraging, while our son learned the basics. Coach Wee Yong also has an innate ability to resonate with kids, which allowed our son to quickly bond with him, further strengthening his interest in learning - he was always looking forward to his next class. Coach Wee Yong’s excellent coaching skills, coupled with the one on one setting offered the perfect platform for our son to pick up the game quickly, with solid fundamentals. We strongly recommend Beyond Basketball and will surely plan to do it when we are in Singapore next. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
