Tamara Benefield is a one-of-a-kind person and attorney. I reached out to Tamara on two occasions to help with a loved one’s divorce and custody case, which also includes a false DVRO filing. She stood head-and-shoulders above other attorneys I have worked with (I engage with attorneys on a daily basis for my work.). Tamara was patient and kind, yet firm, and clearly knowledgeable about the law. She went above-and-beyond to help this person get to a better place, and spent considerable time talking with them to that end. She listened patiently, never pressed to “lock in the client,” and demonstrated through her actions that her first goal was to have the other person feel secure and safe enough to make a decision for themselves to hire an attorney. You would be hard-pressed to find another attorney who puts that much time and effort into someone without asking anything in return. While my loved one decided not to hire any attorney, I would be 100% confident in hiring Tamara Benefield for any of my legal needs within the family law realm. I recommend her without hesitation.

I’m a father of a 15 year old daughter who was violently getting hit and getting harassed by her mother about things that she was doing when she was with me on our week. It was ruining my daughter’s mental health and I needed to do something about it ASAP. Thankfully, Tamara Benefield had really good reviews online and so I made the call. She was very comforting to my daughter and knew exactly what to do after telling her our story. She would constantly call and keep my daughter updated on the things she was going to do and was going to file. Long story short after our court appearance, she was able to get me full custody of my daughter along with cancelling child support and making my daughter’s mother pay me back half of attorney fees. Tamara went above and beyond of what I expected the outcome to be in court. For any fathers going through child custody I highly recommend Tamara Benefield she will not disappoint!

Tamara Benefield is the most knowledgeable, fierce attorney in Los Angeles and I confidently stand by my assertion. Imagine that carnival game where you have a big cushy bat and every time one of the kooky clown heads pop up from a random hole, you have to slam it back in, and then imagine the bells and lights blasting out because you slam dunked every single one of them without skipping a beat in time…now you get the 5 ft teddy bear prize. Every time. I’m conflicted with this analogy because it may distract from her being the most intelligent, eloquent speaker in the room as she reminds us all that comes first is the law. If you are in it to keep your child/ren safe, I hope you confide with her before you hire another attorney. If I had found her sooner, my case never would have become complicated, but thank God I found her at all. She’s the only attorney who knows the law backwards and forwards and she does not let her clients down for any reason. I could write an essay, but it wouldn’t say enough.
