We stayed here for a weekend in July for some much needed R&R, the booking process was super easy and Sarah was quick to answer any questions and provided a fantastic email and online pack with everything we needed to know. We stayed in Barn Owl and when we arrived on the Friday the first thing you notice when you walk in is the huge window with beautiful views across the valley, it's stunning! The Lodge itself is beautifully designed and catered for everything you need, all the small details are thought of, from matches for the bbq, coffee pods and milk, to the super soft bath robes, slippers and soaking salts for the sunken hot tub spa, there was nothing missing. Simply put it was faultless! If you are thinking of booking , stop thinking and book! you won't regret it, and we look forward to another stay here again in the future.

Fantastic views and very comfortable rooms

Absolutely gorgeous cabin in such a lovely area with plenty to do within a close proximity. The place was spotless top to bottom and my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you Sarah.

We had the most perfect couple of days in the Kestrel Lodge. The location really is gorgeous and the lodge was stunning. Sarah had thought of everything to make the stay relaxing and stress-free. Everything in the lodge was such high quality and there really was nothing more we could have asked for. Would definitely stay here again :)

A beautiful cabin in a breathtaking and picturesque part of the world. I knew the views would be nice but I wasn’t prepared for how breathtaking it was, we didn’t want to leave! The cabin is well equipped with modern amenities and was absolutely spotless, would recommend Bettws Court retreats to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

I could not recommend Bettws Court Retreat more. We stayed in the Kestrel Retreat and everything was perfect from start to finish. The property was elegant and modern as well as being completely spotless. The view from the huge windows was the best I've had from anywhere I've ever stayed in the UK. The location also lends itself very well to start gazing, given how little light pollution there is! The property information and facilities were superb, I couldn't have asked for any more! I'm sure we will be back again!

I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere where I could not find at least one, even if minor, issue with the place. But Bettws Court Retreats is the place that is faultless! The location is simple stunning, and the best hot tub view you'll likely get. Everything has been thought of here, from the setting of each of the lodges that still ensures complete privacy, to the interior design and all the small attention to detail that makes all the difference. My wife and I had such a relaxing time, there is simple nothing that could have been done any better! Quite the statement but it's a true reflection. Get the time of year and the weather right and you'll have both an amazing sunset AND sunrise views from the decking! We also took one of the suggested walks round to Kilpeck village, stopping for lunch at the Kilpeck Inn halfway, using the map provided and in combination with the detail instructions, we found this easy to follow. Book it, you won't regret it!

On arrival the first thing that greets you is the view through those enormous windows, a glorious view across open countryside in the late evening sun, you can see for miles and it was great to sit on the terrace and watch the cows with their calves wander around the fields. Attention to detail could not be better, the route guidance for the local walks was absolutely spot on and there is even a bespoke map for you to use. A lot of thought has been given to the design of Peregrine retreat and its contents. We used the binoculars to watch the many birds, and made use of the spa each day and the bar-be-que with the charcoal provided was a nice touch, everything has been thought of. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will most definitely be back.

We had a lovely few days here for a short escape to the countryside. A beautiful cabin with amazing views, and lovely walks and pubs close by. The hosts were incredibility helpful and responsive with any questions we had. The small details like a welcome hamper full of local treats was very much enjoyed. The spa bath and bbq on the terrace were great touches. Would definitely recommend this place!

We have just come back from a beautiful weekend at the kestrel lodge. The views were stunning and all the little touches made our stay so special. We have already had friends ask us to send them where we stayed so they can book in also. We will definitely be returning. Mr & Mrs Draper

I booked Bettws Court Retreats for a weekend away to celebrate my partner's birthday and we absolutely loved it. The views from the living room and bedroom were wonderful and we spent hours gazing out of the windows and using the binoculars provided to spot deers in the distance. I was particularly impressed with the high level of cleanliness throughout the entire property and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils which allowed us to prepare meals at the lodge. The outdoor spa was a real treat and initially the main reason I selective this property over others. Even though there are 3 lodges (we stayed in Peregrine) the way they are set back from one another created a great sense of privacy and seclusion. There is so much useful information on their website and within the lodge in a booklet which gives you great recommendations on where to visits, activities in the area and where to eats. Check in instructions were sent well in advance and the check in and out process was simple. Would highly recommend and would return.

Absolutely amazing place. We stopped in Barn Owl and it was just wonderful. Views were absolutely stunning, the place was so clean and things to do in the cottage were endless. Perfect distance from Ross-on-Wye and Hereford. Will forever hold the memories there 🥰

An absolutely wonderful experience, made all the more pleasant by the magnificent views, the calming surroundings and the exceptionally high standard in which the ‘Barn Owl’ lodge was presented. We have to shine a light upon the highly detailed level of cleanliness, as this is paramount to the enjoyment of our stays in such places. No stone was left unturned and this allowed for our experience to be all the more relaxing. In conclusion, we certainly recommend a stay here, as they really do go the extra mile to ensure everything is as you wish it to be.

Had a wonderful stay at Kestrel lodge for our anniversary - the first thing that hits you when you arrive is the amazing views over the fields though the picture windows, perfect for sunsets and stargazing. The lodge itself is lovely, everything feels high quality and all the small touches have been thought about. Loved the Sonos system for music, and spa bath was great! Perfect placement for exploring nearby Hereford, and surrounding towns and countryside, loads to do and see. Cannot recommend highly enough - we will be back in the future!
