Beth has tutored my little one for the last 12 months and she has been incredible. My little one can’t focus for one minute and I honestly wondered how on earth poor Beth would keep her for a whole hour, but from the start my little one came out beaming and just couldn’t wait to get back to Beth each week, homework proudly in hand. She even volunteered to keep working with Beth over the summer holidays ! Beth is committed to making progress, and her feedback is thorough and honest every week. It’s truly magic and I highly recommend if you’re looking for an excellent tutor.

My son had some tutoring sessions with Beth over the summer holidays prior to starting 11+ tutoring in September with another tutor. Although he only had a few sessions with her he felt comfortable with her immediately, really enjoyed them and was upset that he couldn’t have more 😂 He’s improved in some weaker areas and had a massive confidence boost ready for the next stage. I would definitely recommend Beth and we may be back for some booster sessions in the future.

We would highly recommend Beth, she gets to know the child and works to support them on an individual level, for example coming up with ways a child can remember their spellings that is meaningful to them. My children have been tutored by Beth and they always come out of sessions full of confidence and excited to tell me what they have achieved. They are able to transfer this into the classroom, going from not being interested in school to wanting to learn. Would give more than five stars if I could.! Thank you Beth

We can’t thank Beth enough for tutoring our son Harry. Beth is patient, knowledgeable and makes learning fun for Harry whilst making sure he focuses and understands the task. Harry’s maths, English and grammar have improved dramatically due to Beth’s teaching and guidance. He benefits massively from the 1:1 and he often covers topics with Beth that he has struggled to grasp in school. This reinforcement of his learning means he goes back into class with renewed confidence and understanding. Beth strikes the balance between making learning interesting and ensuring the child is focusing perfectly. We have been so pleased with the progress our son has made that our daughter is now joining Beth to boast her learning and improve her confidence as well. Whilst my daughter was with Beth she really come out of her shell and she supported her massively in the lead up to her SATs and came out with really good results thanks to Beth for helping and support her. Beth is a very friendly tutor who my daughter felt really comfortable with as soon as she seen her she was very welcoming and knew exactly what help my daughter needed within a few lessons. I wouldn’t hesitate in using Beth again for my little boy she does amazing work and is very friendly.

Mrs Carlisle was recommended to us via friends as we identified our year 5 daughter was struggling to keep up with the primary school maths curriculum and in turn with her peers, causing upset when at home. Owing to school pressure and expectations for year 6 SATS, we decided investment with a tutor was needed. Mrs Carlisle replied promptly to our contact and showed an understanding and empathy with our concerns and, with our daughter of whom was nervous about extra maths tuition! We needn’t have been worried. Our daughter has gained confidence throughout her weekly sessions with Mrs Carlisle and demonstrates an ability and understanding of basic maths arithmetic which was lacking and unable to be remedied in her school class setting. The investment also allowed for our daughter to secure a SATs score of the expected national standard!! A target which we never thought possible prior to the commencement of the maths tuition. SATS scores are of no significance to us as parents, but affording our daughter the confidence to sit the exams without distress is purely down to Mrs Carlisle’s support. I cannot recommend Mrs Carlisle enough for any child struggling to achieve their academic potential, we knew our daughter had the ability, but owing to Mrs Carlisle’s individualised and personal approach, we will continue to invest in Mrs Carlisle for our daughter as she moves into secondary education and recommend her to others seeking such support for their child.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Beth for private tutoring she is just fantastic! My daughter absolutely loves attending sessions with her and her school teacher is amazed at the progress achieved in such a short space of time. Beth is an amazing tutor, she tutored my son in English for approximately 2 years. He was reluctant to go but she made him feel really comfortable and he even enjoyed his lessons!! His ability and confidence came on leaps and bounds and he moved from middle level in bottom class to middle level top class, achieving well over 100 in his SATS test. Beth was always great at communicating with me, giving me an update on the lesson and his progress each week. I can not recommend her highly enough.

I had heard from friends that Beth was a fantastic tutor for their children, and as such was keen for her to help my son. Our sessions began as online learning with an interactive app, which my son really got on with and enjoyed. Beth was able to communicate over the app brilliantly and there was an instant rapport. He finished his first session very eager to continue. Face to face lessons followed and continued to be met with enthusiasm, with him looking forward to his sessions, and leaving telling me the things he had learnt, and clever reminders to use in his work. His English has improved massively and his recent SPAG test at school shows a huge leap in levels. I wholeheartedly recommend Beth; she seems to understand each child’s individual personality and how to get the best from them.

I first met Beth when she taught at my daughters school. I sought Beth's help when my eldest daughter was struggling with secondary school math, she helped my daughter gain confidence and she no longer struggles or gets panicked by math work. Beth is now helping my youngest daughter with Primary School Math. Beth is patient and understanding, she knows how to communicate with the children, she has always communicated with me and clearly has a very good understanding of different children's needs and understanding. I find Beth's charging methods fair and reasonable, she never pressures me to spend more than i can afford and has gone above and beyond on many occasions offering advice and help, it is clear Beth loves to teach and her passion for teaching has a real positive impact.
