Best Dam Gutters Plus was great. No high pressure sales tactics, they worked within our budget, and they got us on the schedule promptly. They did a great job installing seamless 6-inch gutters and guards and repaired a long stretch of damaged fascia and soffit. When they discovered a nasty old squirrel nest and some additional damage in another part of the soffit, they took care of it free of charge. All in all, a very positive experience

Edited for precision, as requested by the company: This company did work on our home fixing damage from last year's tornado. The craftsmanship was good and everyone was professional. However, several points of the project were mentioned beforehand and agreed to but not recorded on paper. A mistake on my part. Previously, The gutters on the garage were run sloped towards the alley and discharged off the open end of the gutter into the alley, with The tornado damaged the gutters and 2 runs of gutters needed to be replaced. When the estimate was discussed, I just wanted them returned to their original function. Austin, who was doing the estimate said, "yea, they do that a lot in Memphis!" I assumed this meant it would be done that way, my mistake. The gutters were installed flush with the roofline instead of the mentioned extension, but were installed with an open end. So the thought was there, but the execution was incorrect. I was not home to inspect the final install, and didn't notice this error until well after payment was delivered. Since then the incorrectly installed open ended gutter has eroded a depression into our yard at 2 spots, instead of discharging into the alley. Upon reaching out to discuss correcting the original error, Austin came out, looked at the project, and agreed to fix the gutter. Since 2 gutters were incorrectly installed, I once again assumed fixing 2 gutters. The day came to make the repair, and upon seeing that both gutters needed to be fixed, they asked for an additional $648 to fix their initial mistake. This was not accepted, and no work was completed. Upon the disappointment of how things went, I decided to leave a review for the experience. I only leave reviews for stellar service, or info for others on how it didn't go as planned. I left a 3 star review with what I thought was a quick recounting of the experience, complimented most of their work, and suggested future customers get a detailed scope of work in writing to avoid a similar situation. Within 6 hours of writing the review, I received an email with a cease and desist letter threatening legal action for defamation of their company, a notice that they would report our gutter system to the authorities, and a whole list of evidence of the encounter. Frankly, they were/are trying to bully me into not provide a public opinion of this negative experience. Update 3-28-26: Austin showed up to my house at 7:45am, took some pictures of my garage, and banged on my door in a threatening manner. After answering in a friendly manner, he accused me of modifying the gutter myself, and said he would see me in small claims court for defamation. He made me and my family nervous enough (on Saturday morning) that I am pursuing a restraining order to keep him off my property and away from my family.

Wonderful experience—lady from Best Dam Gutter Plus called and let us know that workers were on their way and would arrive within 15 minutes. They were here at 9:00. Guy came to door and introduced himself and they began the job. When job was finished I walked out to find the gutter looked great and all trash was cleaned up. Workers were very polite and I let him know how impressed I was with their work and appreciated their promptness. No one enjoys having to fix things on their home when they break, but the experience can be made easy or more painful depending on who you hire. I cannot recommend Austin and Best Dam Gutters enough!! Every part of this process made us feel at ease and was quick. Your first impression of a company is the initial appointment set up. A real person answered within a few rings (so refreshing in a world of robots operators.) There wasn’t long waiting period to set up a consultation and I was automatically put at ease knowing someone was coming out within the week. Austin came out in the rain and cold. He said it’s actually best to look at them in the rain, but that still impressed me. He was super knowledgeable, answered all our questions and came up with a workaround so they didn’t have to dig up parts of my garden which was really important to me. They have a 2 week turn around to complete the job and came out within that timeframe. At one point during the consultation we asked if he would be the one to come out and do the work and he said “if you want me too I can.” We didn’t want to inconvenience him if he normally didn’t do the job himself and I was actually blown away when my husband called me at work to say he was the one there the day of service . We thought that was so refreshing. It’s rare now to get customer service like that. My husband sent me progress updates throughout the day and kept telling me how good they were looking. I couldn’t wait to get home and see them myself. I actually said “WOW!” out loud as I pulled in the driveway. You can’t call yourself the Best Dam Gutter Company if you’re not the best, and I truly believe they uphold their name. I can’t wait for it rain next to see them in action.
