I found Pedro Bernal through the San Diego Lawyer Referral line, and I'm glad I was able to connect with him so quickly. My adult autistic son got himself into serious trouble and I didn't know what to do. I know there are public defenders but with my son facing 25 to life, I couldn't take a chance on getting a bad defender. Pedro got to work right away and was able to appear for my son's arraignment with only 2 days notice. I had no idea what to expect in this process and Pedro guided me every step of the way. He gathered all my son's medical and Regional Center records and put together a case that was thorough and persuasive. I live out of state so communication was crucial to me to be sure my son got the best representation. Long story short, Pedro was able to reach a resolution that was reduced from life in prison to 5 year suspended sentence contingent on one year in jail and 3 years probation. As a mother my relief at this outcome was significant, and I am grateful I found the right person to help my son and I during this trying time. I would highly recommend him.
