I visited AIRE on Sunday to treat myself to a massage and a relaxing spa day after a long run. The massage was absolutely fantastic. My massage therapist was extremely professional, skilled, and clearly knew what she was doing. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The bath area was beautiful, clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. The atmosphere was incredibly calming, and I enjoyed spending time in the different pools. However, the overall temperature was noticeably colder than I expected. Even the warmer pools weren’t particularly warm, and the facility itself felt quite chilly whenever I was out of the water.
Unfortunately, things got worse when I returned to the locker room. I was already feeling cold, and the locker room was even chillier. When I tried to shower, the water simply wouldn’t heat up. I had to switch between three different showers, and it took nearly ten minutes to find one with reasonably warm water. Other women were experiencing the same issue and commenting on how long it was taking for the water to heat up. By that point, I was wet, freezing, and literally shivering. Even when I finally managed to shower, the water was only lukewarm.
I ended up feeling unwell afterward and developed a cold, which was certainly not how I expected to feel after a relaxing spa day.
Overall, AIRE is a beautiful space with excellent massage services, and there is a lot to appreciate about the experience. However, for a luxury spa at this price point, maintaining comfortable temperatures throughout the facility and ensuring reliably hot showers should be a basic expectation. I really hope management addresses this, as it would make an otherwise lovely experience so much better.
