Tucked away from the buzz of Pier Village, Beach Bee Meadery is a true hidden gem. If you’re looking for a relaxed, off-the-beaten-path spot to unwind, this place delivers.
The slushies are an absolute standout—icy, flavorful, and dangerously drinkable. Their tasting flights are also worth a go if you want to explore the variety of meads and ciders they craft in-house. Whether you’re a mead newbie or a fan, there’s something for everyone.
Live music adds a great vibe without overpowering the scene, and the outdoor seating makes it a perfect spot to kick back with friends on a sunny afternoon or breezy evening.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. It’s chill, unique, and a refreshing change from the usual Jersey Shore spots.
The Beach Bee is adorable inside and out and the meads pretty great too. The inside looks like a down country instagram playground and there’s a charming semi-covered outdoor area great for big groups. We did a mix of meads and cider flights. The dry meads were by far my favorite. Great place to try something different.
I've had mead only once before, and I couldn't recall my experience. Being that an entire establishment for it was so close to home, we came on a free Saturday. It was empty, save for another couple and a group of four. Their service was super friendly, and they have games inside that you can play. We opted to sit outside under the umbrellas, as it was nice outside. We decided to start off with a tasting of four, which was $15. It ended being enough for the two of us, as it was quite sweet. The coffee mead was a bit whiskey tasting and I wasn't a fan of the traditional, it had a mouthwash like aftertaste.
I found out about this place from a posting on Instagram, and I was intrigued by their flavored meads and ciders.
As soon as I walked up to the building, I was welcomed and greeted so warmly by the staff. The two ladies that waited on me (who I unfortunately didn't get their names) were so knowledgeable and helpful. I opted to do the flights, which is $15 for four, and everything I tried was wonderful. They also do drinks by the glass for $8, and they sell the products to take home as well. The only "food" they have is some snacks, and they sell souvenirs like T-Shirts and Wine Bags .
The establishment is very clean, and you can sit either inside or outside, depending on the weather. This place has such a fun vibe and is great for small crowds.
Overall, I absolutely loved my first experience here, and I will definitely come in again the next time I am in the area.
Really, really fun spot with friendly staff, and the drinks were good! I've never had mead before, but really liked what I tasted, and the cider drinks were all pretty excellent.
I wish they had food to nosh on while you're there (even bagged chips or pretzels you could buy would be cool), but they're obviously okay with you brining in outside food too. Great spot and will def be back next time I'm in town!
