Excellent private tour of Normandy
Noemie was an excellent tour guide and made this a great experience for our family. She was flexible and willing to work with us to accommodate the sites we wanted to see, and worked around our children when we needed to make updates/changes on the fly. She was very knowledgeable and covered the material well, but was also personable and relatable on topics outside of the tour. She made this a wonderful day for our family.

A humbling experience
We did this tour with Marine Cotet on Friday, May 29, 2026. We had a group of 6. Marine picked us up at Place de Quebec. We went to Pointe du Hoc, then drove along Omaha Beach to the American Cemetery, where we witnessed a double-flag lowering at 4pm. Then, we went back to Omaha Beach, Dog Sector, at the National Guard Memorial. My wife's father took part in the D-Day invasion, going ashore at Utah Beach on day 2, and fighting through the hedgerows with the 82nd Airborne. Marine knew all of this, because she had researched his unit movements based on information we provided when we booked the tour. The National Guard Memorial was important to us, because I had several friends from Bedford, VA (the Bedford Boys) while in college. Marine was an excellent guide.

Fred’s knowledge of the Normandy invasion and so many of the different factors involved was very interesting and really good to hear I was very impressed when one of the tourists within the group asked an inappropriate question and the way Fred answered was a beautiful touch of diplomacy!

Use Bayeux Shuttle
Use Bayeux Shuttle! The vans are roomy-not sure about front seat. We used them twice. Both guides, Roma and Oranne, were friendly, answered questions, spoke wonderful English, and made you feel comfortable. Even though Mont Saint Michel is not a guided tour, Oranne told us much history, information and anecdotes on the way. She took us all the way to the Abby and left us with clear instruction, answering any remaining questions We can not say enough good about our experiences with this company.

Guide adds so much to the experience
This experience was absolutely amazing. Our guide, Marie was terrific. She knew so much about the landings and was able to add color and anecdotes from individual soldiers who landed on the beaches. This added so much more than just 'visiting the site'. I wouldn't change a thing. Also, getting driven from site to site and taking the pressure off of finding the right roads, dealing with traffic left us free to experience all the sites.

Best Private Tour Experience
We had an incredible experience visiting the sites across Normandy! We were able to visit the American Cemetery to honor a family member and visit Omaha Beach, Sainte-Mère-Église, and other spots. We can’t say enough about Pierre. He is knowledgeable and passionate about all aspects of WWII history and history across all eras! We highly recommend this company and the private tour!

We had the D day tour from Bayeaux shuttle the day before D Day, 82nd anniversary. To see the gratitude of the French fot the allied forces was heartwarming. To see the sacrifices made by the allied forces was humbling. Roma was an expert storyteller, weaving history with locations and maps- I will remember.

My husband and I spent much of yesterday touring D-Day sites with Irene of Bayeux shuttle. Irene was an excellent guide. She has a very impressive knowledge of the details of the landings at the various D-Day sites. She has photos, diagrams and illustrations that helped us visualize the dramatic events of those landings. Her oral presentation is lively and really effective. My husband and I had spent 10 hours watching the Band of Brothers series, but she added so much to our understanding of the events of June 1944. Irene is one of the best guides that we have ever had. Band of Brothers Tour with Rethro Our Band of Brothers tour with Rethro of Bayeux Shuttle, on May 21, 2026, was truly magnificent. Before the tour even began, he had already researched my uncle, Gerald Loraine, who served with Lieutenant Winters. That level of preparation made the experience deeply personal and unforgettable. Rethro was exceptionally knowledgeable about Normandy events and places including every aspect of the Band of Brothers story. He brought the history to life in a way that made us feel as though we were there. Although my wife had provided my Uncle’s name and military company information when booking the tour, I had no idea he knew about my Uncle Jerry’s involvement with Easy Company, so hearing him speak about it was incredibly moving - not only because of our family connection, but also because of the care and respect he showed for all the heroes who served in World War II. He also provided thoughtful historical context, explaining how the war developed from the early 20th century through World War I and into the events before, during, and after World War II. From the moment we boarded the van and introduced ourselves, it was clear that this tour would be something special. When I said my name was Dan, Rethro immediately mentioned my uncle Jerry and his role in Normandy and throughout the war. I was genuinely surprised and deeply touched. Great trip to Mont Saint Michel with Dominique!
We had a great experience with the shuttle service to Mont Sainte Michel. Our Driver, Dominique, was terrific. He was kind, thoughtful and had a great sense of humor. He was a safe driver and gave us a nice amount of information along the way. He did not talk the entire trip, which was appreciated - as we've had tour operators that talk non-stop. This tour drops you off at the base of the Abbey, and allows you several hours to explore on your own - then the return trip. The driver waits for you. Highly recommend this tour. lf I were to do it again, I would research the tides - and try to be there when the tides were coming in - as I think that would be a great experience.

What a wonderful, informative and emotional day it was. Jordan did an outstanding job of explaining and building the story of what we were seeing. Jordan's depth of knowledge of D-DAY history at each area was incredible. Seeing Omaha Beach was a emotional experience. I also enjoyed visiting the church where the medics saved 80+ people and the related backstory. Jordan would build the story so you could form a mental picture.
The group size was 20 which worked out.
I would definitely highly recommend the 8 hr. D-DAY Experience.

Our guide Frédéric was a wealth of knowledge about the D-Day landings and presented the information in an interesting and engaging manner. He clearly has invested much time and energy in creating a thorough program about a complex subject. Thank you Frédéric! The Airborne Museum at Sainte-Mere-Eglise has 5 buildings of mezmering exhibits. It coincides with your lunch break.
