Groomer was very knowledgeable about grooming Shiba Inus, and his approach of brushing, washing, and blow drying worked extremely well. My dog is timid and uneasy in new situations, but Rick connected with her in the way that made the grooming a positive experience. I highly recommend this service. John Mcleod
Barks in The Bay did an amazing job with our dog, Lexie. We have never had a groomer pay as much attention to and put in as much care as they did today. We are absolutely amazed by the amount of deshedding they were able to do and how soft Lexie’s fur turned out. Without question we will be going with Bark in The Bay for all future grooms!

I really appreciated that the groomer was communicative about Rocco’s feelings and gave him the haircut properly. The van is also clean and new. I have been used this service and happy every time.

Always a pleasure with them. They treat our fur-baby with such kindness and are able to trim our dog’s nails with ease. (German Shepard) Great for dogs that get overstimulated easily and need’s the extra space. Our dog Miko gets excited now when she see’s their truck around our apartments.
Rick did a few fantastic cuts on our senior doodle Zoë who had mobility issues and needed a lot of patience. Their van door was wide open every time and she was always treated with love. She fell asleep during one of her grooms, if that gives you any idea how comfortable she felt with Rick.
A family friend who also uses them let them know when Zoë had passed. We then got this beautiful painting of her in the mail from Barks in the Bay. They are truly kind, good people who will treat you & your dogs like family. The talented artist is Kaae Kanno. Info in the photos

Zoe was such an amazing girl, and we were truly heartbroken to hear about her passing. We’ll always remember the way she’d run back to us after her grooms with that big, joyful smile and how she took some nap during her grooming. She brought so much light every time we saw her. 💛
