Best value for money on island!
☺ Professional and helpful staff. Excellent choice of breakfast. Good location, just a few meters from all noise and traffic but everything still reachable by foot or if lazy like us, then with motorbike. Possibility to rent motorbike in hotel. Nice garden with rabits and birds, makes really nice atmosphere. Safe motorbike and bicycle parking inside hotel’s territory.
Hotel have it’s own restaurant. Jägerschnitzel is must try!!! Definitely will come back!

Family night in with home cooked meals in a spacious and comfortable hotel/apartment.
☺ Two adults and two kids in the two bedroom apartment was very spacious. We loved the kitchen along with the necessary kitchenware to cook our meals. The onsite restaurant and bar were cozy and provided freshly cooked food and drinks. It was a very nice place to hang out have a drink and chat.
☹ Shortly after we got settled in we noticed that the sinks started to make noise. The toilet in one room did as well after being flushed. It was then that we noticed that we lost all water pressure and then finally we lost the water. There was just a small amount coming from any of the sinks and showers, just enough to cup your hands together to get a palmful. There still wasn't any water the following morning upon checking out. We informed the staff but we weren't around to see if the situation was fixed or what exactly the issue was.

☺ We stayed at Smak’s hotel for 6 nights. Our room, although appearing as a small 15 sq metre space in the pictures and descriptions, feels more spacious due to its well-designed layout. The balcony, while offering views only of neighbouring roofs and a large water tank, was a nice addition. The property was in Santa Fe town, about 10 minutes tricycle journey to the Sante Fe pier, and less than 10 minutes walk to the best beach on the island, restaurants, bars and shops. They also have their own restaurant on site serving western and filipino flavours., as well as refreshments such as their lovely calamansi lemonade which they served on arrival, and our favourite red horse stallion beer, which we could enjoy under their cooling fans.
The room and communal spaces were kept clean and tidy. We had housekeeping on request, and our towels were changed regularly. It was great to have fresh drinking water, which we could keep cold in the mini-fridge. We had ample hanging space, a good supply of towels in different sizes, and a convenient clothes horse outside for drying our damp towels and clothes after a swim.
The double bed and bedding were very comfortable. The simple breakfast was appreciated, especially the brewed coffee. Throughout our stay, we were able to try a small array of Filipino breakfast dishes, with the highlight being the fresh piece of tropical fruit, typically a ripe mango, banana, or yellow watermelon. The AC worked very well, and was very lovely and quiet.
The staff were friendly and smiling. They assisted us with renting a motorbike, provided transfer information, and helped with printing our transfer tickets.
☹ we enjoyed our stay but a few things would make it even better: to provide more comfortable chairs for the room, particularly for the balcony. We would have also appreciated a fan for the room, that we could also use outside on the balcony. The Wifi was a bit patchy and slow, seemingly dependent on how many other guests using it at the same time. On the first night, there was an issue with the water at an unfortunate time when I was showering. However, it resolved itself in about 10 minutes. We were fortunately already provided with a bucket in the room in case, but thankfully everything was smooth for the rest of the week.

Servizi eccellenti, dalla pulizia delle camere al cibo del Ristorante, posizione strategica a due passi dal mare, un'oasi di pace.
I proprietari, Stefan e Cristin, sono delle persone speciali. Ho avuto un piccolo infortunio e grazie al loro aiuto, disponibilità e umanità sono riuscita a godermi ugualmente la mia vacanza. Mi hanno fatto sentire a casa.
Se cercate alloggio a Bantayan allo Smak's Hotel starete meravigliosamente bene!

Relaxing and peaceful
☺ We had a lovely time during our stay in SMAK's. It's a family friendly establishment and the staff are wonderful. The food from their restaurant was delicious and a generous serving. We enjoyed sitting around the balcony upstairs, which overlooks the garden below. The hotel location is close enough to the restaurants/bars and market, but far enough that it's peaceful throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again.
☹ The unexpected drop in water pressure, but we know this can't be helped.

Joli petit jardin, le petit déjeuner était parfait, le restaurant est très bon aussi, la chambre avait tout ce qu'il fallait au niveau équipement. Belle terrasse pratique pour faire sécher son linge.

☹La vue depuis notre chambre n'était pas vraiment très agréable mais bon ce n'est qu'un détail.

☺ The location was perfect. We were conveniently located to Sugar Beach and the main market in the middle of town. We were within walking distance of everything we needed on a daily basis but far enough removed that we didn't have any noise from the main part of town. The breakfast was delicious - we varied between the different meats that were offered. The mango was perfection. The beds were comfortable and we liked having a kitchen even though we used it less than we expected. The staff was responsive and made immediate fixes as needed.
☹ The water availability and pressure were not great but I think that's a problem everywhere on the island. Some mold in the bathroom but the place is humid.
